Stuck In The Cart At The Beginning

Post » Fri May 18, 2012 8:30 pm

This is what worked for me...

I had the same issue of being stuck in the horse cart even after restarting many times. Clearing the system cache http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/troubleshoot/hardware/clear-system-cache caused the game update to be reinstalled the next time I launched the game. After the update, the prisoners in the cart began talking to me on the cart ride down, and I no longer got stuck at the wall.

Was never able to play this game, even after 1.2 patch. Every time I tried it got stuck in this same spot on the cart, just sitting there looking around waiting for something to happen. Hard to believe a bug of this magnitude made it into the game, especially on the x-box 360 platform. I'll be trying to return the game, since it is completely unplayable.

Update - I replaced the game CD and was able to progress past the beginning of the game and actually begin playing. (Woot!) Even though there wasn't any clear damage, I wasn't able to to transfer the game to my x-box hard drive without erroring out (which led me to try replacing the disc). Very odd that a bad disc would cause the same bug that others have seen (including PC players who downloaded the game through Steam) - but replacing the it seemed to do to trick for me.

I am also stuck in the cart. Using PC version. WTD! What is up with Bethesda development? Even after patch to 1.3, the same issue still persists! Anyone can offer a solution for this stupid and annoying issue before i proceed to seek a refund. Thanks for your time.

To Bethesda team, please kindly respond to this issue since nobody has come up with the better solution so far! We gamers pay you for your labour skills to make the game! Understood?

uninstall game, delete cache, start again the fact you say you had two download update twice does not sound good, could of been glitches in xbox live when you tried to get patch.

Hi Submarinex1, thanks so much for the quick response. Unfortunately it is PC version I am using instead of xbox live. :brokencomputer:

ah yes but this is xbox forum. wasnt aimed at you uninstall, you could try deleting any config folders created in my docs for the game then rerun the game and see if you get any further, i got oblivion on pc but not skyrim.

looked it up and on pc "open console with \"é\" and type enableplayercontrols " now this was from http://answers.pubarticles.com/28142,skyrim-stuck-at-beggining-how-to-fix-.html and ive not been able to test but bascily what ever is console key and then type enableplayercontrols and see if that gives you control
