Well, I beat fallout 3 and knew that you were supposed to make a separate save file before the final mission. However, I forgot about that rule in New Vegas and now I'm stuck in Legate's camp. It kinda svcks...

Does anyone know how to fix this? Or if Obsidian is going to release a DLC like broken steel for new vegas where you can continue on with the story line?

No Broken Steel-like DLC happening for New Vegas. You're just going to have to start a new character and remember to make the save this time.

There is no fix except to start a new game, or reload a save from prior to getting the pop-up message that basically states, "You're about to enter the final battle and cannot return to the Mojave after you're finished. If you have any other stuff you want to do, go do it now and then come back."

It's been well known for a while that there are no plans to introduce any DLC that allows you to play New Vegas after the final battle at Hoover Dam.

Also if your on PC you could just coc somewhere.

What do you mean "stuck in Legates camp"?

Also (1) there are several key moments when you chose to do one thing or another before you arrived at the dam, surely you have a saved game from before some of them?

Also (2) If you're still in Legates camp you haven't made the final decisions yet.

Finally, there's a mod that allows you keep playing on which works very well if you haven't explored the entire landscape yet or done all the side quests.

But the fun of the game is creating a new character and making different choices right from the beginning IMO.

You can't say there won't be one yet, there are 3 more DLC's after "Dead Money", one of them is probably gonna extend the ending

Yeah, and all of them are only goign to me playable with a save that before the end battle at the dam.

How can you play for several hours and never make a save?

Are you telling us your game NEVER crashed?

Did the fact that they give you One Thousand Save Game Slots (1,000. That's ten times a hundred. Even then you can move them into a different folder and save a thousand more times, ad infinitum ad nauseum.) not give you a hint that you might need one or two?

You are not "stuck" in the camp. Just walk out of the gate. Then start a new game.
