Hello,

I am stuck in the quest "The Replicated Man". I accepted the job from Dr Zimmer and my Pipboy indicates i should talk to Preston, but when i do nothing happens. i also found Pinkerton and talk to him.. nothing!

Can anybody help me with this quest please?

My experience of doing the quest is speqk with Zimmer in Rivet city science lab. Get the holotape from behind the counter in craterside supplies. Listen to it. Speak with Doc Chruch. He'll give you a Holotape. Listen to it. Go to Rivet city. Speak with Seagrave Holmes. Listen to his holotape Then on your way to Doc Preston, some woman will talk to you about not handing in the Android. Go to Preston. He'll give you a holotape by passing a speech or barter check. Then it's off to Pinkerton.

Might I ask what the problem is exactly?

THIRD, LET THE GAME TELL YOU WHATTA DO

Yes, the holotapes are the key, they unlock the various stages of the quest, as well as Victoria Watts speaking to you. And there's more holotapes than those mentioned. There's also one in Big Town and in the office of the repair ghoul in Underworld, I forget his name. I suspect there's other scattered around as well, possibly with the doctor in Tenpenny Towers. I think you need something like 3 holotapes to fully unlock the quest, maybe 4. Victoria Watts will approach you as soon as you have 3 of them at least. And it doesn't matter where you get the first holotape, as soon as you have one of them, the other NPCs involved will have a dialogue option that unlocks new options for the quest.
