Stupid Crash. Help!

Hi,

This may be the stupidest crash of all time, but please bear with me and see if you can help.

I just bought Fallout New Vegas a week ago and I have a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 running windows 8.1 Pro. The game works fine, and the graphics and gameplay are actually pretty good.

The problem:

In the game, I get to a computer terminal (in the Goodsprings schoolhouse) and try to hack in. Unfortunately, at the time I was playing, I was new to the game and didn't know all the controls. I didn't understand how one operates or hacks a fallout computer terminal. I tried some stuff and it didn't work. So, stupidly, I started pressing random keys on my Surface Pro keyboard. I started pressing lots of the function keys (ie, F1 ... F12) and numbers keys and other keys at the top of the keyboard.

I don't know what keys I hit (something at the top of my keyboard) but I got a pretty bad error & crash. The error message said it was something to do with a .dll file and then, the game completely crashed back to Windows desktop. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact error message (it was a dll file though), and I don't want to recreate the problem for fear of damaging my computer or game.

Since then, I have actually played a few more times, and there seem to be no problems -- everything running pretty smooth (like normal).

I'm still worried though.

Anyone, know what this error is?

Should I be worried?

Thanks

Srey
