Stupid Question about spells and effects : IV

So like, when an NPC casts a hostile spell on you, you can see the icon on the top right, but I have no idea what it does or means. Is there a way to see what
effects are currently on your guy? (Friendly or hostile spells)

bring up your spell menu (default F3 on PC). Click over to your active effects tab (5th from the right) and look for any effects that you cant account for. Mouseover the effect, and the mouse-over window will name the source.

(Entropic Touch, Scales of Pitiless Justice, Screaming Death, inflamed prostate, vampirism etc)
