If you click on the compass you will see your reputation with law, in the beginning it will say "In the eyes of the law of Daggerfall, you are a common citizen."

If you want to see your reputation more indepth with various guilds, NPCs and so on, you will need to use a save game editor, like http://www.uesp.net/file.shtml?dagger/files/dfhack3.zip (Windows program) or http://www.uesp.net/file.shtml?dagger/files/rep177.zip (DOS program).

The only rep you can see in game is your legal rep for the kingdom you're in. Press I or click on the compass.

If you want to see all your reputations, you can download dagrep fro the UESP.

Due to the edits, I would think I can edit some stuff, yeah? I would give myself some mana points so I can cast recall, since I screwed up at char creation.

It's really not a stupid question. Hopefully DaggerXL will make it easier to see your reputations - and perhaps make reputation *do* more.
