Stupid things you did on your 1st playthrough

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 1:13 am

Let's see. How stupid was i when i first started..... Oh yes! I remember now!
1 Killed Lucas Simms in front of Jericho :banghead:
2 Killed Moira
3 Killed all the Caravans
4 Left myself with little ammo and stimpaks and had to search for a big city.(This is all before i left Megaton for the first time)
5 Found Big Town at 9:00 at night. (TIME TO DIE! ARRRRRRGGGHHHH!)
6 Tried to kill a Super Mutant with 10mm pistol. He had a Minigun. :ahhh:
7 Tried to find Rivet City. Needed more than 15 10mm Pistol rounds.
8 Unable to realize what the little red marker on my map meant. Ran straight for it.
10 Failed to realize the Intense Training perk helped me at all.
11 I did not know what V.A.T.S. was until like level 4.
12 FatManned A Mole Rat to close to me. :nuke: I was screwed then so I started over.
12 I know, Im A Tard.
P.S. For newcomers to :fallout: Learn To Run. :bolt:

6: That's nothing, I took on a mini-gun-toting Super Mutant with just a baseball bat. At low levels. Oh wait I guess it's not stupid if I won :D
12: A fat man at point blank range is perfectly fine in VATS.
11 I did not know what V.A.T.S. was until like level 4.

Oh, right...

BTW yer not a tard for all that. :)

1) svcking down any Nuka Quantum I had in possession whenever I’d enter a battle.

“Ya!, an extra burst from my assault rifle and I free up room to scavenge that broken down pool stick!”

2) Spending way too much time in factories, vaults, etc., running around in circles, before learning to use the local map.

1. I thought bottle caps and caps were 2 different things. So I wouldn't pick them up.
2. I couldn't find the entrance to Megaton. The door was the whole wall.
3. Walked into Tennpenny Tower without the Ghoul mask when the ghouls were on a rampage..
4. Used the Fatman on weak foes such as SuperMutant masters.
5. I didn't know I had almost max radiation poisoning. So whenever I went into the water I would die. So I took all the drugs I had in my inventory. Thinking that it would fix it.
6. I didn't know what over encumbered meant. So I took more drugs thinking it would fix it.

Using grenades, mines, missiles and mini-nukes whilst my allies are in close proximity to the enemy.

I did many things

1. I was dedicated on having a negative karma, so i ran into megaton and shot up the place. It took one shot from stockholm to dispatch me.

2. I thought that if you had a negative karma Raiders would "welcome" you with open arms. They welcome me all right, with shots from an assult rifle and multiple baseball bats... I had my weapon holsetered and ran in..

3. Ran through metro tunnels and got about 14 ghouls chasing me. It worked for the most part until I ran into a dead end...

4.Put Frag Mines around the bed whenever I slept, woke up to a raider who RESPAWNED while I was out, and decided to run at me. Killing me and him.

5. Killed dogmeat because he attracted a group of Super Mutant Brutes... WITH A FAT MAN :nuke:

6. THought I could beat up Fawkes... I was wrong :flamethrower: :cryvaultboy:

Worst thing i did on my first playthru- i did the escape the vault at age 1 glitch----and didnt even know it. i just went thru some of the game and sayin "this game svcks!" "why in the world are all of the other people like 5 feet taller than me?!"

you should have seen me and my 1 and a half foot body trying to run away from my first behemoth.

i got thru almost 25% of the game only to realize--after reading some forums--- that my escapade at age one was a horrible glitch. i proceded to punch myself in the face many times.

i now love this game. :swear:

Sometimes the door to the hallway doesn't lock properly, allowing you to open it before you're supposed to. When this happens, you can get to a place where you can fall out of the Chargen level. When you fall out of a level , you're placed back into the center of the level. The chargen level contains all the stages of the Character Gen quest, so when you're placed back into the middle you end up on the part for the last stage. You can then exit the chargen level at age 1 without going through the 10th birthday party or the GOAT, and get out into the world as a baby.

As glitches go, this one's usefulness is dubious at best. :)

Getting Prototype Medic Power Armor at level 5 - props to you on that, even if you couldn't use it. I know how difficult that is, from personal experience. When I did it, I thought the manual would teach you how to wear Power Armor >.<

Even though I had an alien blaster and dogmeat, it still took forever as dogmeat died and I had like 2 APC Left

I did it by not being seen. I tried to take on one Deathclaw with a minigun I had found and...well let's just say that didn't go so well. I swear he was laughing from the bullets tickling him while he ripped off my head.

I learned JUST NOW, on my 8TH PLAYTHROUGH, that the Destabilizer was a full automatic... and my 6th playthrough i found out the Captain's Sidearm was a spread fire. My next playthrough, I am definately taking the time to observe locations, quests, and weapons more carefully because that was almost embarrassing...

I told Dr. Zimmer that Harkness was the android he has looking for. I didn't know I would lose Karma.
