Oh man, that's so long ago. been over a year now for me. I'd have to say killing off all the caravans, or I decided to pick a fight with the Outcasts. I died ALOT on that playthrough.

I got a few.

1) I also let Lucas Simms die.
2) Took the Gun Nut perk all the way.
3) Ignored the Flamer.
4) Killed the GNR Behemoth with a Hunting Rifle because I didn't know about the Fat Man.
5) Neglected the speech skill.

Fresh out of the vault, headed over to Megaton, tried to hack Andy's terminal right in front of him. I managed to get the whole town chasing after me and got stuck with too little health right after an autosave. I had to start back in the vault again.

Also drinking every Quantum I found before I knew about Sierra's quest.

Only real "dumb" thing I did was decide to assault Paradise Falls and kill all of them BEFORE I did the "Strictly Business" quest for the achievement. Forced me to do a new game just to get that done where I had earned every other achievement on the first play-though.

If you play Oblivion on the Elder Scrolls forums. They're not going to make separate smileys for each forum.

I got the same result even when I didn't touch the Teddy bear. Idk wth that was about but I was level 8 and invented the Wasteland Marathon.

The biggest thing I did wrong:

a) I put my character's Endurance at 3; a stupid thing to do on a first character, and didn't use Intense Training to do anything about it.

I ran straight out of the vault and started to explore the Wasteland. Now, while this meant I died a ton right away (I was in Old Olney by level 4 or 5; you know what happened to me) I don't necessarily consider this stupid. It was so fun. I just died all the time until about Level 12 or 13. I completely ignored the MQ until then.

I kept stepping on mines or pressure plates... over and over again. I would remind myself to be more observant but a couple of hours would go by and BANG! do it again. It would not kill me everytime but would knock the heck out of my health so I would have to use a lot of stimpaks that I would not normally have to use. And, of course, was never close to a bed, or so it seemed.

Danged annoying

Very early on, I used Sheriff Sim's key to get into the armory in Megaton (Sims died in a shoot-out in Moriarity's). I walked in and was instantly set on by the Mr.Gutsy in there. Failing miserably against it, I quickly exited and walked right into a hornet's nest of Megaton residents who wanted me dead. Didn't go well at all.

And there was my first encounter with a Deathclaw near Old Olney. I saw it coming, but I thought I could put it down before it could get to me. Wrong. I didn't last long at all. My backpeddling and shooting technique worked very briefly.....very, very briefly.

I wouldnt consider that stupid, he had it coming telling me to behave and wearing that awesome hat and duster.... needless to say he always pushes up daisy's on most of my characters :).

The dumbest thing I ever did was dropped a bottlecap mine when I was being chased by a feral ghoul at close range thinking the blast wouldnt be too powerful.... boy did I have a wake up call :).

Found out the hard way that some cars exploded. Like when I was hiding behind one when I was being attacked.
