Thinking that fighting a "Blind" Deathclaw would be amusing at level 6... it wasn't.

I was Going past fiend territory to just before Bonnie Springs and saved. I kept dying at Bonnie Springs and had to do a bit of walking like six times. I then successfully kill the raiders and continue to goodsprings. I run into cazadores die and have to start off before I went to Bonnie Springs, did that about six times. I was doing a no fast travel playthrough and I just did not want to save my game that day. I finally had to fast travel because Veronica kept dying from poison.

I added a level cap remover, perk each level mod, 75 additional perk mod, skill based perks mod, fallout 1 style skills (2 point increase per 1 point put into TAG skills) and then boosted my unarmed to 50 and tried to fist the legendary deathclaw with LOVE AND HATE at level 25.

I went back at level 40 and he still whomped me.

Then I loaded my crew (3+bot) down with grenades and let them go after him...they blew him AND themselves up...It was so delectable it could only have been better had I had some popcorn to munch while watching.

The 'realism' aspect of clutter placement (a bar should look like a bar, and so on) means that there are often a number of owned objects near someone you'd actually want to talk to, so it's easy to accidentally grab a bottle or whatever off the counter by mistake.

While I haven't done that in F:NV so far, I did once accidentally shoot the person I meant to talk to. I had just finished a fight and then turned around to speak to a vendor, but while moving the pointer I accidentally clicked the left mouse button and blasted him in the chest with the Plasma Caster. Needless to say, that ruined any chance of negotiating a good price for my loot. I ended up reloading as I wanted to keep that vendor alive.

I walked into the Viki and Vance saloon while wearing Powder Ganger gear. Whoops! I was getting shot at from all angles. :gun: :gun: :gun: :ahhh: Gawddamn there was a lotta lead flying around in there. I think I reloaded an earlier save and made sure I put my regular stuff back on. Anyone else think Leather/Reinforced Leather Armor + Desperado Hat looks cool?

one of stupidest things I had to do was in my 1st play through was to get hated by Legion and NCR, Both NCR and Legion assasins decided to attack me at the same time.

In dead money i tried to run the long way with all the bars b4 I looked at a way to get them all.

And my favourite was to go to hidden vally at night and find the BoS people outside the bunker, I was like "I thought the BoS bunker was in lockdown".

I was laying out one of my patented Deathclaw traps(11 C-4 mines, and 4 Frag mine strewn in a staggered-crescent line). A Molerat that decided to wait till I was done, of-course, started to run towards me, that's when Boone leaped into action. Throwing not just one, but at least 2 Frag grenades at the rat, and me.. I heard the first one go off, and tried to run, but it was to late. Never-the-less, that much of a boom not only took out the Molerat, it blew me to little tiny pieces. I learned that day.....DO :banghead: NOT :banghead: GIVE :banghead: BOONE GRENADES!!

It was the first time i had ever played a Fallout game. It was in Fallout 3, and I had just barely managed to get out of the vault, using my fantastic BB Gun and a Vault 101 jumpsuit. Having no idea what was going on, i walked outside for the first time ever. At first i was blinded. The first thing i noticed, was how amazing and bright the world was outside. Standing on top of a cliff and looking down at the wastes. Makes you feel like a MAN MAN, man. Having no idea about what a quest is - and how to use the Pip-Boy, i spotted a great and tall monument far beyond. After having a closer look, i saw that it was the Washington Monument. I made a conclusion: That's where I'm going! No matter what it takes!

Now, wandering into Downtown D.C. as a level 2 character, equipped with a BB Gun might not be the best idea. Not having a single idea of what S.P.E.C.I.A.L. or skills is doesn't make it better.

So here my great journey begins. First thing i noticed on my way was the Super-Duper Mart. I immediately thought "yay, a mart! maybe i will find stuff in there!". Brave as a soldier, i walked in there. I was not very kindly welcommen. I was suprised by how tough they were, almost not being damaged by my BB Gun. My heart started to jump. I hurried out of there, running for my life. Shortly after, i ran into a kind old lady at a place called Wilhelm's Wharf. I went to speak with her, and she was very kind. She even asked me if i wanted to trade some stuff! So i accepted the trade. It all looked so confusing, so i got angry and killed her. I then took her stuff, healed up and continued my journey for the Washington Monument.

Now, actually having a real weapon i was very proud of myself! I thought myself that i was nailing this game. That i was unbeatable. I crossed the river, and shortly after i was met by a Super Mutant. I immediately thought "MONSTER!" and started shooting for my life. Very shortly after, another bunch of guys came. They all started shooting eachother, blowing stuff up, shooting at me too! I got scared and ran away. I noticed some building on my runaway. I thought that i could go in there and hide! They'll never find me in there! But, it was not quite as i thought it would be. After nosing around in there, i saw a bunch of Super Mutants too. I tried to hide! Tried not to breathe! And then successfully snoke my way out of there. That was a close one!

I don't remember anything else than running around in D.C. getting killed a bunch of times, then getting mad and shutting off my PS3. Thanks for reading through my story!

Now, that was quite a start to my Fallout experience. I started over some time after that, and noticed the big letters saying "GO TO MEGATON!!!!!!!" and the huge city, that's appearently very easy to miss.

Bump.

I ran through Quarry Junction while exploring the wastes. I looked on Wiki and it said there was some good loot, but it mentioned the deathclaws are strong. HAH, I thought, enemy encounters in all FPSs are easy. So are most enemy encounters in this game. How hard could it be? *Gets [censored] by deathclaws*

More accidental than stupid, but on my very first character, I lined up the trusty Varmint Rifle to kill some mantis at the Goodspring schoolhouse.
I missed the first shot, which then hit Victor right in the monitor as he was coming up behind the bugs.

Woops! Time to put on the running shoes.

edit: More recently, picking the Meltdown perk.

This just happened.

I was exploring south of New Vegas to see if there was an easier way to come to New Vegas from Goodsprings. Just as I pass the Hunter's Farm, I spot 4 Deathclaws on the ridge ahead of me. I'm playing as a sniper, so all I have is a fully modded Varmint rifle, a 9MM with silencer and scope, and a Hunting Shotgun, fully modded too. So, I decide to go "deer" hunting, just for the sake of it. I pull out my trusty Hunting Shotgun, load slugs into it, and start blasting at one of the Deathclaws. Now, it notices me and start running at me. I just keep on slugging it, but nothing appears to happen. I run backwards, shift to normal 12GA shots, and fire 1 shot before the Deathclaw cuts 70% of my HP with one swipe. I scream "AAAAAA" and leg it backwards as fast as I can, shooting buckshots into its head as fast as I can. It goes down before it can hit me again, luckily. But as I turn around, I find out I'd legged it backwards into an ant mount, so 3 Fire Soldier Ants and 6-7 Worker Ants are onto me. Shotgun again, 30% HP, and Trigger Discipline helps me killing the [censored]ers but even before I can finish them off, 5 Fiends with Plasma Rifles and Laser RCW's decide to join the Ants against me. I tab, drink some Sunset Sarsaparilla and use some Stimpacks, and then continues to get my ass kicked by ants and fiends. In the end I died by the last enemy, and had to quickload.

Why is this stupid? Because attacking Deathclaws at level 7 without proper armor is.

Moral of the story? Hunting Shotguns are [censored] awesome, and whoever decided to give Fiends Plasma Rifles and Laser RCW's seriously should lay off the booze.

Fallout 3

It was the first time i've ever played a Fallout game. So, i did not know anything about quests, Pip-Boy, S.P.E.C.I.A.L., skills or anything. I did just barely escape the vault. And there i were! A level 2 character with a BB Gun and a Vault 101 Jumpsuit. I didn't know where to go, so i thought that i should head to that big monument over there (the Washington Monument). Great idea!

Level 2 Character with BB Gun, Vault 101 Jumpsuit and 100 HP + Wandering off to downtown D.C. = Bad idea.

I died a bunch of times, got pissed and shut off my PS3. Rough introduction to the Fallout series, but as soon as i saw the "GO TO [censored] MEGATON YOU [censored] NOOB!!!!" text, i did alright. Also, this was about a year ago. :P

Fallout: New Vegas

Playing through the Main Quests only. Attacking Hoover Dam without any help as Level 9 character wasn't the greatest idea ever.

Oh, and trying to kill a Deathclaw with a Varmint Rifle.
