I'm recreating the Morrowind Daedric Weapons for one of the MW recreation teams. I'll post progress here so you critique the meshes:

I see you sorted out what the "spiky part" of the battleaxe was. Nice work :)

These look great! Very nice quality, very close to the originals. Cannot wait to see them textured and in game. Do you plan on making all the daedric weapons from MW?

Yes. I may even do the crossbow and throwing darts.

McMuffin stated a long time ago that he was going to release a texture pack but I haven't seen it. After looking at McMuffins own treatment of the weapons I can see our styles diverge a bit. So at some point I assume you'll have a choice.

What do you mean, I think McMuffin stayed very true to the original Morrowind design, how is his set different from yours?
Don't get me wrong, two sets is better than one, I just hope that your set won't look too different from his so that they don't match.

Again, thanks for make these :)

They look epic. Can't wait to see the long sword!
And textures.

Off Topic: I played Morrowind, but the closest I got to daedric stuff was a daedric armor piece in some guy's mansion.

I agree but I'm basing my statement on one of his http://s242.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/mcmuffinizor/Daedric%20WIPz/?action=view¤t=ClubWip01.jpg. I don't intend to do the 'cast iron' thing. I'm sure they will work well enough together regardless.

Didn't you also say in another thread that you're working on your own version of the Wings of the Queen of Bats axe?

Looks really good, could you post some wireframes?
I think a polycount around 9000 is somewhat high - personally I think you should cut it down a bit, if you can.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to see them textured :D

The polycount is fine as it is, I don't want the quality to suffer!

Anyway, since the Daedric Mace and the Scourge use the same mesh (but different texture), do you think you could recreate this artifact as well?
