I had a quick look at what i had,
Oblivion\Data\Meshes\Tigerpaws <<--All meshes go here, can be more folders to break them up
Now that gives me
WorldObjects >> Activator >> TigerpawsWorldObjects >> Doors >> TigerpawsWorldObjects >> Static >> Tigerpaws
It should work for armor too
Now go add a armor mesh(not yours, one of the CS armors) to you cell, now go edit it with a new ID and point it to you nif, but be sure it does not exist. If it does exist(your mesh in the cs) it is already assigned, so delete it and save, then restart the cs, and try that first bit again - or create a new mesh name
