Subtitles Linger After Saydone

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 9:19 am

Our mod has a scene where both voice and subtitles needed for dialog between parties. Problem is that subtitles linger after saydone when the conversation goes back and forth betweeen parties. The subtitles pile up on the screen for a number of seconds confusing the viewer. We can't find anything in the game settings or GhanBuriGhan's manual that addresses this problem. HELP!!!

Welcome to the forums.

The duration of a messagebox is a function of the number of characters in the text. A maximum of three messages can be displayed at the same time. You can 'push' the messagebox off the screen by calling three 'blank' messages (just a single space may suffice for the text) in a row. They may flash by so quickly as not to be noticed.

Thanks Cyran0 it was nice of you to take the time to respond. We'll try the first actor's speech followed by two bank 'speeches before the next actor says his lines.

Cyran0 : Your idea works, it's better than what we had but we 're still working this little bitty problem . We found a game setting called sSubtitles and the script edittor accepts the disable and enable commands. Unfortunately the game doesn't turn the subtitles on and off. If we find a solution we'll post it.

Thanks again.
