Such Intuitive Inventory Management

Don't get me wrong, FO4 Is fantastic now that I have it, but I do have a few minor things I'd like to nit pick, at least for PC controls.

1) When pressing E to loot items from a container, it takes the whole stack. Which is fine for ammo, but when say, I need a leg piece for my for a settler I use as a guard, I take all of that type, which results in me having to put the spares back. For armor and weapons, it would be nice if quick looting took only one of the selected item.

2) "Let's make the same button that opens a containers inventory the same one to loot all if you were accidently press it again!" :brokencomputer:

3) When managing my companions/settlers it would be nice if loot all didn't apply to their equipped items. If I took the time to manually equip them, I generally want them to stay put when I clean out their inventory.

4) The naming scheme could use some refinement, for arms and legs, It would be very convenient to have it display the direction first. This will make apparel management easier, instead of:

Lightweight metal painted left leg

Lightweight metal painted right arm

Powered Raider right Leg

Sturdy metal left arm

You get:

Left Lightweight metal painted leg

Left Sturdy metal arm

Right Lightweight metal painted arm

Right Powered Raider Leg

This is helpful because this naming scheme puts all the pieces of like type right next to each other and you can quickly identify what piece it is by looking at the first and last word is has, instead of having to dig out the correct direction you need amidst all the modifiers. That would actually be a sweet mod, someone get on that!

1) some people play like.. "Take it all or go home and dont bother" so the "loot all" scheme is pretty helpful, even in normal gameplay (say, theres ammo and stims in a box. Youd obviously want it all)

2) try to be abit more clever ;) subconsioisly, if youve pressed E to loot, the next thing you do probably wont be pressing E straight away anyway

3) they still have the stuff.. Its just on them while equipped so when you're sifting through their junk youre not getting equipped items popping up

4) THAT is a valid point. Id never thought of it, to be honest.. But it is rather annoying; im reading its entire name to figure its location on the body, hindering 1 second of my gametime! 0mg. ((If youre looking at the stats it does show which part of the body its for anyway but.. Still, yeah, it could be tweaked))

1) To clarify my point, they should make it context sensitive, I.E. pressing E takes all on items that are frequently found in stacks, like caps, ammo, stims, etc..., but make it only take one at a time for big items that enemies will be carrying one of anyways like armor pieces and weapons.

2) I actually meant the R button to transfer items from the inventory that actually pauses the game ala 3 and NV. In those games, the button to close the inventory is the same to open it. It was E in those games, but the http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DamnYouMuscleMemory, "If I want to close out of this inventory screen, I just have to press the same button I did to open it!" Nope. not anymore.

3) That is only true for full body outfits. If I loot all on piper, she'll still have the scribes outfit I gave her, but it yanks the leg/arm/chest/vanity pieces and the gun I gave her.

4) We both agree so nothing to contest there.
