Well, here's another of many "Skyrim suddenly crashing to desktop" cases. First, here are my system specs:

I have also downloaded and installed the High Res Texture pack (1,2 and 3), Skyrim HD 2K and Better Quality Paper and of course SKSE. The official High Res Texture packs are not active, though.

Now for the case: Since installing and activating the HR Texture Pack I immediately got CTDs without errors. I unchecked them in Data Files and everything seemed normal. Installed the above mods and started playing. Now, in and around Whiterun in particular, I keep getting random CTDs. "Unsafe areas" in particular are Jorrvaskr and Dibella's Temple. I've got a sneaking suspicion that the CTD's are caused by the offcial Hi Res Pack, so I tried deleting them. However, as seems to be common knowledge Steam re-downloads them upon start up.

Mods are sorted with BOSS.

So...does anyone have any clue as what is causing my CTDs? Ideally, also, regardless of a possible solution I would like to:

1) either get rid of the HR Texture Pack (did not find a way to do this anywhere after a thorough search though)
2) get the HR TExture Pack to work normally on my 32-bit system (I've read about memory allocation and such being subpar on a 32-bit system)

Help is much appreciated since the game has become nigh-unplayable for me.
