im using pc version, on xp using all of the discs morrowind and the expansions. game has run fine for ten years only few days ago has it just started locking up as soon as i attack an enemy

noticed the game isnt playing the music at all. im not get errors for not having it, it just isnt playing it and there aren't any errors besides freezing when entering combat

Did you install or change anything on your PC before this started? Things like installing a different media player, a codec pack, a new mod? Did you do a format/reinstall of XP? Anything like that...

the only things i did before this were install obilvion and mod it but got bored and uninstalled that then installed daggerfall.
havent changed any codecs video or audio, ive only ever used a texture pack for morrowind but that was a few years ago and morrowind hasnt been modded in a few years. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling a few times. not really sure whats going on.

I'm not sure either, but we'll see. When you do a normal uninstall, many of the game files are left behind. It's best to manually delete the MW folder when the uninstall is finished. Also, I suggest doing the reinstall to a Morrowind folder outside of Program Files.

oh yeah ive done the manual deletion and gone into add/remove programs to make sue. tried running from an external harddrive, cd and even a no cd crack just to make sure it wasnt disc related but still same problem. ive just gone through updating all the drivers an hour ago and still the same. if i figure it out ill post what is was but also sent specs and problem to bethesda support the responded at least that their looking into it
