I think that it might be cool if they released a character creator. So far from what I have read an open beta is a no-go and a demo is a maybe. Why not a character creator so people can start putting together an idea of what they want to look like?

no, it would diminish the excitement when you, later, actually have the game, and can play it.

I would love this, as of now you can scroll through some pre made stuff on the front. I assumed eventually after they got deep into the beta stage or done basically they would release a full character creator on the site. I certainly hope they do, and releasing perhaps all the abilities to over anolyze and etc, etc. Of course that would be when everything is set in stone pretty much, if ever.

Not really, I was thinking that you should only get the basic equipment and pretty none of the unlockables. Then you would still have all of the unlockables to customize your characters further.

A character creator is not needed like what was said above one reason people want this game is because of that and if you make a creator it will spoil the fun of it.

I don't think that its a situation like that of Dragon Age or Spore where the creation is the main point of the game. If they were to do it, It would be much closer to the release date, at the very least.

I agree. If they are going to spend time doing something extra it would be an ability builder like they did with borderlands.

I would be ok with that, I would just like to be able to get a basic idea of my character will end up looking like. I don't think that will detract from the game all that much especially if all you get is basic gear.

I know right. I think everyone wants to see what abilities we can gain. The customization is something we will have fun with when we get the game.

I would settle for a vid showing off the revamped customization screen. A demo with partials to it would be cool too, but I think it would be unnecessary. You are gonna be spending a ton of time with the feature in the game as is.

I totally agree. Id far rather the game just came out.

I would rather them spend the time implementing some kind of game capture system so we can review demos and put together movies or study for future use if the game ever takes off for a competitive platform.


I won't lie, although it would be fun to have it isn't something I "NEED" and cannot go "without" so if it happens great.. which it probably won't...

It would be cool, but i would rather that they do no demo or beat or your idea. Otherwise it makes it less exciting on release day as i know everything about the game ro the character creator in this case.; which by the way is one of the main reasons im buying the game.
