Procrastinator Achievement - do every single non-main quest in the game before bothering to begin the main quest.

No. Having to purposefully feck up your save on that char to the point where most quest lines, be they main quest or factions etc, cannot be completed just for one lousy trophy/achievement is not what I'd consider a good idea. Not to mention being highly annoying when I'd go after platinum trophy. <.<

Edit:
Procrastinator Achievement - do every single non-main quest in the game before bothering to begin the main quest.

This however I like, a lot. :D

Normally I don't care a lick for achievements. They really are pretty gratuitous. But that would be killer funny and worth it!

How for once, we have achievements that 1 actually mean something and 2 give you an actual reward. these steam, 360 and ps3 acheesemants are completely stupid. let say theres a host of achievements that revole around killing dragons, each achievement should reward you with a piece of armour or weapon from an epic set thats part of a meta achievement. it would be powerful and be for that game only

I'm guessing the "summon dragon shout" is actually like a taunt that calls one of the evil beasts to fight AGAINST you.
Some kind of blood-marooned-hunter's-call.

You're now playing TES V: Skyrim - Created a new character.
You're still playing TES V: Skyrim - Play the game for 20 hours.
You finished the main quest, keep playing TES V: Skyrim - Finished the main quest.

Achievements in a fantasy RPG? Isn't that basically encouraging people to do something they don't want to do in an open world game?

I guess it will just be like Oblivion on the Xbox, i.e - achievements for going through the main storyline and for whatever ranks you rise to in a guild etc. Probably get them for killing x amount of dragons as well.

I'd like to see the achievements have some slight mechanical benefits, like in the ME series.

So lets say there's an achievement for exploring every dungeon/hunting down every dragon/whatever. I think it'd be cool if after doing that all my combat, magic or stealth skills raised 5% faster or something. Nothing really substantial, but something that provides benefits other than meaningless points/trophies/whatever.

I've got a few ideas, maybe you'll like some of these. I'm just going to put on my http://www.loadedpants.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/achievement-unlocked.jpg (Yes, i own that. And yes, I am now wearing it).

Finish Him!
Deliver your first finishing move.

Fatality
Execute X amount of finishing moves.

Perky
Get all perks for your weapon of choice. (Basically, if you love swords and get all the sword perks, you unlock this.)

He had it coming
Murder a Bosmer in cold blood.

Here there be Dragons
Get killed by a Dragon

Dragonslayer
Does this one even need to be explained? (Note, that is the actual text I want that achievement to have :P )

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here!
Complete a dungeon X levels higher than you. (Or something like that, the concept needs work but the foundation of the achievement works)

Oblivious
Read a book telling the story of the Oblivion crisis.

Blah!
Become a vampire. (Assuming this is possible)

A levitate scroll would've been nice
Climb the 7000 steps to the throat of the world.

Everyone who is saying "OH Achievements ruin RPGs" or "It makes you do something you don't want to do" need to QFT.

Achievements are optional, and obviously they are there to make you pursue a goal you might have missed otherwise. They can bring a new challenge to a game that is getting stale. Ever do a playthrough of the original Final Fantasy with 1 White Mage? I have and it is hella fun and very challenging. Or playing RE5 with only the starter pistol. Games get boring, it happens. If people use achievements to refresh their interest in games let them and stop being so damn cynical.

With Mind Bullets! - Kill an enemy by launching them off a cliff with the "Force Push"-like Dragonshout.
Napalm Strike - Kill 3 enemies with the same Flamethrower Fire Spell.
Suppressed Immune System - Contract every disease on one character.
What are Classes? - Level all your skills to at least 50
M'aiq the Truth Teller - Slay your first Dragon

Caveman

Felled a saber toothed cat and mammoth in succession.

....And in greater numbers
Allowed an opponent to flee and get help from allies before finishing them.

Golly, your the best!
Allowed one of your fans to follow you, and watch you and worship the ground you walk on.

What about, say, over there?
You convinced one of your fans to stand at the highest peak in Tamriel and... well, you know what you did.
