suggest an Achievement

NO "different path quests" related achievements like in New Vegas, they are extremely boring and not challenging at all!

Achievements SKILLS and COMBAT related please.

For example here some pretty good ones:

Jack of All Trades: Earn 50 kills with Melee, Magic, and Ranged weapons.
You're The Grand Champion!: Win every fight in the Arena.
Criminal Scum: Go to jail 10 times.
The Magic Touch: Earn 100 kills with Magic.
Heavy Handed: Earn 100 kills with Hand to Hand.
Eagle Eyes: Earn 50 headshots with Ranged weapons.
People Person: Talk to at least 50 NPCs.
If You Want Something Done Right...: Complete 100 Quests.
Dragon Slayer: Kill 20 dragons.

Dovahkiin: Complete the Main Quest
Explorer: Spend 10 hours in dungeons
The Warrior: Reach the top of the Fighters Guild
The Mage: Reach the top of the Mages Guild
The Thief: Reach the top of the Thieves Guild
Moneybags: Attain 50,000 gold
Mastered: Reach 100 in a skill
Tired?: Travel 1000 miles on foot
Skyrim: Reach the summit of [the tallest mountain]

I feel achievements turn a experience into a score chase. it pops up and updates whenever you do something slightly important, and tend to ruin epic moments. you defeat alduin fanfares go off, skyrimn cheers your name as the camera pans the land showing celebrations... *blip* and you earn 15 gamer points.

You do know that you can turn off achievement notifications? Perhaps something to look into if it affects gameplay so much... Hence why for RPGs I primarily have "all notifications off" on 360, just because.. You know playing through a dungeon trying to find a great artefact getting really immersed into the surroundings then *blip" "CrazyB51 has signed in" is just annoying to say the least.lol

My suggestions:

How did you get here?: go five minutes without getting an achievement for doing something so easy that getting it wrong would've been more impressive.

Who turned out the lights?: Have your only torch go out on you in a dungeon.

Hunter: Sneak up on and stealth-kill an enemy without any light-source or nighteye spell. Detect life is permissable.

Predator: Sneak up on and stealth-kill an enemy without any light-source or nighteye spell while invisible. Detect life is permissable.

Assassino: Somewhere, in another universe, this happens all the time, normally also for no good reason. Perform a stealth-kill on a guard.

Requiescat en pace: Perform a stealth-kill on a quest-important NPC (note: I mean NPCs who are meant to die as per the quest; Dark Brotherhood quests would, for obvious reasons, not be able to fulfil this)

All this for the bagel?: Escape a town or city after getting caught stealing a loaf of bread.

You never did learn to mind your surroundings: Activate 100 different traps...by standing on them.

Feeding the bite: I know it's nice to be nice, but that thing is trying to eat you. Heal a monster.

Never say we die: Survive a fight with one point of health left and live to make a full recovery.

Return to sender: How did you manage that? Get hit by your own arrow or your own spell.

Should I say it?: Karma! Suffer damage from a weapon you previously dropped.

Nimble: Successfully steal a pair of pants from a man who is sitting down in a tavern.

Liftoff: Don't worry, turbulence has never brought down a dragon. Witness a dragon taking flight while fighting.

We're now being pursued by a Dovahkiin: they bring down dragons all the time. Kill a dragon while it is in the air.

The apprentice: Use Fus! Ro! Dah! to throw an enemy off an edge.

How we remember Kain: Use Fus! Ro! Dah! to throw a group of enemies off a bridge.

Waiting for that coin of yours...: Take a gamble.

...to land on its edge: Win a gamble of impossible odds.

Jazz hands: Kill an enemy from full health to no health using a shock spell.

Presidium fish: Pay an extortionate price for a fish.

Fear my ancient, deadly magicks: Cast a magicka-expensive spell on an enemy and deal almost no damage.

The origin of bardic immunity: Kill a bard without provocation.

Interesting...: Have an enemy shrug off the effects of an offensive dragon shout.

My head it burns: This helmet does nothing. Burn an enemy to death.

Not a zombie: Reanimate a dead priest.

How much experience do I get for the farmer?: Kill an innocent farmer with a powerful fire spell.

That's it! That's really it!: Kill another innocent peasant with the same fire spell.

Because overkill is underrated: Use a powerful area of effect spell to kill one enemy.

Should've been a bard: Die fifty times.

Stop. Hammer time!: Slow down time before finishing off an enemy with a hammer.

Three words for you: Use an offensive dragon shout to kill an enemy.

I'm Dovahkiin: And this is my favourite store in Skyrim. Buy out all of a shop's stock.

I know that's a lot but I was on a roll. Most of these contain references; let's see if you can spot them.

I always gain the 'Never looks at achievements' achievement, but I'll play along...

Kebab : killing 100 enemies with a spear.

Free as a Bird: Levitating to over 1,000 feet.

Stylish Defence: Collecting and wearing all 8 matching pieces of a given armor + shield.

Fools Rush In
: Killed by 10 different enemies of at least 10 levels above your own.

Serious Sightseer
: Travelling the land by walking or using only official travel services.

WWF Champion
: for mastering the combat simulator mini-game.

Cunning Linguist: completing the main quest using speech craft.

you realise most things you want wont be in game

Spears forget it. Levitation most likely not ,8 piece armor probably not more like 5 pieces including shield, travel service again probably not, enemies will probably be level scaled or at least in a certain amount, and there probably wont be that many strong enemies anyway except the various dragons, there probably wont be a combat simulator minigame. you probably wont be able to finish the game using speech craft.

Robbin hoodwink: knock an apple of a corpse's head at 50 yards.
Charitable pilgrim: visit every city and settlement in the game, an leave an item lying on the ground in each one. If someone tries to return an item, kindly refuse.
Cartoon world: stop an opponent jumping at you in mid air using Paralysis. (loved to do this with Clannfears in Oblivion )
Wiley Coyotee: spring a trap that you've set yourself and that knocked you off your feet.
Hellspawn: kill every inhabitant of a single settlement.
Super-hot stuff: complete the "hot stuff" achievement in the opponent's own house, at night. Your first hit has to be a sneak-attack while they are asleep. :hubbahubba:
Confused turtle: defeat an enemy whilst dual-wielding two shields.
You shall not pass!: block an attack whilst dual-wielding a sword and magic stave.
Nordic Romeo: complete the "Super-hot stuff" achievement with your opponent being a member of a noble or royal family.

I hope that achievements are not things that we automatically get from just playing the game like we're suppose to, that's not achievements.
Example: Join mages guild, reach next rank, reach rank after that, et cetera, now guild master.
What the hell kinda achievement is that? Becoming guild master is the only thing worthy of an achievement!
Or how about FO3's stupid things: Reach lvl 8 with evil karma, yeah, this is an achievement all right, I feel so satisfied I got this "achievement".
Or the quest ones? "Complete [Quest title]", what? What the hell is this!? All I did was complete the quest! A quest is not worthy of it's own achievement.

So I don't think achievements should be things that we just get from playing the game casually, we should have to work for our achievements.
Or to have some fun and random achievements.

Basically; Stop handholding people with the achievements and do some creative and challenging ones that we actually have to freaking work for.

Armed to the teeth: have one of every type of weapon in your inventory and one of every type of spell in your arsenal, all at once.
Master of the vocie: learn each word of every available dragonshout.
Gillyweed: use water-breathing to spend 30 minutes under water without surfacing to take a breath.
Jesus's prodigy: use water-walking to get to the other side of the world map.
I see dead people: use 100% Chameleon and lockpick to open an NPC's container while they are staring right at it.

And, second star! :bunny:
