Suggested Mods?

Post » Sat Sep 05, 2009 11:45 am

I'm trying to find some good faction/quest mods, particularly for an evil/high level char. I already have the Illuminated Order, and I tried The Underground... that one seemed to cause problems with crashes/corrupted saves and made me realize just how much I hated spiders, so I took that one out. So, does anyone have any suggestions?

If your character is Telvanni, the combination of Rise of House Telvanni, Uvirith's Legacy, Building Up Uvirith's Legacy and LGNPC Tel Uvirith turns the Telvanni Archmagister into a full-time job; you'll have so many things to do that you may never get around to saving the world from Dagoth Ur.

Other than those, my favorite quest mod is Scourge of the Lich Father. Note that it comes in two parts; Part 2 has most of the content, but Part 1 is needed to set it up.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=1777 is a very good quest/faction mod for high level evil characters.

Indeed. And if you get the first two Tamriel Rebuilt maps as well there's even more Telvanni stuff to do. :P

Telvanni = Best Great House.
Fighters should become mages just to join up with them! Who's with me?

Huskobar recently made a patch for the underground2, which should fix most of the problems. I haven't tried the quest with the patch though, but the patch can be found http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1060060&st=0&p=15431625&#entry15431625

You could try the horrormod. It's a large and very ambitious questmod, with puzzles, tough enemies and a remarkable creepy atmosphere. There is one or two obscure places which wasn't finished, but that shouldn't interfere with the gameplay.
You should be warned, that some of the enemies are extremely tough though.

Tamriel Rebuilt is pretty much mandatory. It's so beautiful, the level of description in each town is amazing. Port Telvannis is huge and redefines what a true Telvanni port town should look like. I remember playing it with other stronghold expansion mods, and even with Mora Uvirith combined it doesn't even come close to the design of Port Telvannis. I really enjoyed walking through the cities in that mod. Just walking and looking around was amazing.

Unfortunately the faction part of it is not finished but there are a lot of quests and you can rank up to spellwright for now. It is a "main" House totally separate from the other 2 Houses (1 of which you are or will be Archmagister of).

Not really too high level, but http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=999305&hl=south+wall is a fantastic revamp of the old thieves guild hangout. Adds a number of great quests for thievish-types.

I'll check the Telvanni ones out, although I haven't really gotten up high in House Telvanni yet, I've been planning too >_>
