Suggestions to balance a certain spell

I've recently got my hands into http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-J-xhYAMYQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxbUzC3xTAQ) (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38284), and I thought it really fits my current Battlemage char, so I plan to make good use of it, especially against questmod bosses. Problem is that I'm trying to balance it (it's damage is customizable), and I have several RP issues.

I've already took a decision about damage: being so kickass as it looks, damage must be paired with it, so I've set it the way that it can obliverate an lvl 56 Ogre (1378 HP) with a single hit (assuming it gets the full impact of the spell and that my Magicka/Fatigue are full). The first drawback of using the spell you can see it yourselves...it takes a little to cast, and in the meanwhile my char is fully vulnerable. And having in mind that my char has only 200 HP...it can get a bit dangerous.

The second drawback is that both my Magicka and Fatigue gets reduced to 0, and the spell is Magicka-Fatigue dependant, so it's far less effective when they're low.

The third is that you've to aim carefully to an enemy to take the full damage of it. It has also area damage, but it's far less than a full blow.

My RP limitations are:

- No Invisibility/Chameleon of any kind during combat.
- Char limited to 200 HP.
- No Conjuration.
- Illusion school spells limited to Light & Invisibility, and Invisibility only when travelling outdoors in order to avoid nuisances.

The options I've thought of by now are:

1- To use companions to act as a distraction while my spell charges (is there ANY way/mod to make companion to be "ghosted" (aka, inmune) to your attacks?).
2- To use Paralize prior to the spell...kinda breaks a RP limitation, and maybe combined with this spell it could make the game a little bit too easy...

So, I'm kinda undecided right now. Any ideas? :)
