Suggestions for Suggestions thread

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:04 am

This is likely to be locked or moved, and I would like to apologize to the moderators in advance, but perhaps this will help you guys run the forums since I can find nowhere to post "suggestions for moderators". You guys have a hard time running the show, so maybe for once the community could help you instead of vice versa.

Suggestions for the ideas and suggestions thread. The suggestions thread is so overpacked that I'm surprised anyone bothers to post on it or read them anymore. Not to mention that almost anything even barely resembling an idea gets locked and moved into a thread where no one willl ever read it in the first place.

Ok sorry how about having a sub forum in the TES series discussion for suggestions that you can then post new topics in for individual questions. If they do release a the new game you can split the suggestion sub forum into more sub forums for each game.

This would make it far easier to discuss the same subject with other people.

i don't know, since the threads they currently have are pretty good. Howobout, next-time the forum gets updated (So in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG TIME) evey new thread has a popup, while making it, that says "Are you sure this doesn't belong in the Suggestions or Speculation threads?"

I've been thinking about those things. This forum really needs some options like that. I mean, when was the last time they were actually updated? In a good way that is? Sometimes its just so hard to talk to a group of people on here without your topics being moved or locked. Why move it into the Ideas and Suggestions thread? There are over 180 of them currently, so theres no good way other than looking through thousands of topics to find what you need, or risk getting warnings. The mods need some serious help with all of this. I've only had one thread locked and suggested to move into the community discussion of the suggestions thread, but some sub topics are sorely needed because entire topics are being left out just for the sake of organization.

Also if you have a slow connection you don't want to have to wait ages for a current discussion on something you don't want to talk about.

I think the way that has been established works fine, actually. Yes, it does fill up quickly, but that's all right. As for it being quick and convenient to read, perhaps it isn't, but if you're perusing a gaming forum, presumably you have some free time. If you have suggestions for improvements on the forum, feel free to PM a moderator or submit them to one of our community managers. :)

Anyway, this doesn't really have anything to do with the Elder Scrolls series, so I am closing it.

The alternative would be a plethora of "suggestion" topics that push other topics into the nether pages of the forum. Not everyone comes in to this forum to discuss ideas for TES V. Those that do, have a thread for it. Frankly, I prefer the method we're using.
