Suggestions, some critical

Out of my week and a half of gameplay here are some of the things I wish were in game. Sorry if some of these are repeats of previous suggestions:

Critical things that should be looked at:

- Automated defenses: There should be a way for the player to set up auto-turrets to each room, like the ones found in the brotherhood of steel bunker in Fallout: New Vegas. I had a happy colony of dwellers of about 30, and I came up against a mole rat infestation. While I was busy trying to arm the workers of each room my people were dying. The mole rats effective wiped out over 80% of my population. Even fully armed and armoured, and with some rare workers and rare armour/weapon sets, the mole rat infestation wiped out my colony. It would be nice at 25-30 workers we could get the option to upgrade our rooms with turrets that will automatically defend our bunkers

- Power control center: There should be some sort of power control room or a command room that allows us to power certain rooms on and off that are not in use. This would make it a lot easier to manage resources for the vault as a whole, especially in early game. It's sad when I slightly run out of power and critical rooms such as my kitchen and water processing room are switched off automatically while my medical bay and science rooms are still up and running with no one in them. Please add this to the game as soon as it's convenient

- Destroy vaults: The consequence of failing a vault and having all my dwellers get wiped out by a fire or a simple invasion effectively ruins the game for me. I have already had 2 failed vaults and I'm working on my 3rd. This means that if the 3rd one fails, I will no longer be able to play this game. Please give us an option to destroy vaults and create new ones from the main menu.

Non-critical suggestions:

- Some way of dealing with merchants and traders to acquire stronger weapons and armour, as opposed to the total randomness we have now. If I have a bunch of caps I should be able to arm my whole vault with weapons and armour as opposed to keeping everyone disarmed

- Balance the disaster counts a little better. In my second scenario I had one fire and rad roach infestation after another. Disasters were happening in my vault on the frequency of about once every 1.5 minutes. This is a little over the top. Also pushing production in my rooms during this time to keep up with the lack of resources being generated from my dwellers being panicked caused a disaster 100% of the time, even if most of the time the chance was between 28-35%. There is something wrong with this picture. Pushing production should be a little safer and the disaster algorithm should not hit in mass waves sometimes while other times not hitting at all.

- Hospital and radiation shower rooms. While it's great that my workers can produce stim packs and radaway packs for immediate use it would be very nice to see some sort of room where dwellers can be healed up and radiation removed over a period of time. This would reduce the damage done to wave after wave of random disasters and would go a long way to keeping my dwellers happy

- Guaranteed acquisition of weapons and armour. If my explorers kill a hostile wanderer they should find at least one piece of armour and one weapon as well as some caps and experience. in the fallout series this is a guarantee to find at least something off of wanderers who are hostile. It would go a long way, especially on android (as opposed to iOS) to keep my dwellers safer.

In conclusion I played the hell out of this game at first. I failed my first vault and created the second. I had a happy colony of dwellers and I was up to a member count of about 30 when I started getting hit with multiple disasters. Then I had to push a room for production and came up against a mole rat infestation that literally wiped out my entire colony. Seeing the failure of this colony I used up my last slot of a new colony. But now I'm coming up against trying to keep things working while dealing with power outages. I spent some hard earned caps on certain rooms and now I'm dealing with rolling brownouts. I just can't seem to get my dwellers to keep up with production since the first rooms shut down are the ones that produce resources. This is a serious game breaking issue for me. So I have been discouraged of playing this game which is a shame. I have basically concluded that the only way to keep my dwellers happy is to buy card packs from the store, which I simply cannot afford as I am currently a student. I would love to continue playing this game but the lack of the things I mentioned above prevents me from going any further, since I am on my last vault, and my people are already starving. So please look at this and consider making these changes. Thanks, I have faith in you bethesda..

This has probably already been mentioned, but this seemed as good a thread as any to chime in on with something I'd very much like to see:

- "No Disasters" mode, just like the original SimCity.

I don't claim you are bad at the job as an Overseer, but I have had several Vault-threatening disasters and survived each one. I still am at my first Vault (193 Dwellers, most maxed out, level 50), so I didn't know about this issue of not being able to delete Vaults. Seems strange.

Anyway, here's a tactic for surviving disasters that worked for me, while building up the Vault: always have some Dwellers exploring, and always have children. In case of an emergency, they will come back, respectively grow up, and be able to build it all up again. I must admit I came VERY close to losing it all before, but thanks to my having explorers and children, I was able to survive. I know that since the last update, baby-making is a longer process, but it definitely is worth it.

I hope you find this instructive.

Oh, and about the power control center: that's a great idea! Hope they implement it!

You can delete vaults when you select them on the menu screen.
