RP Suggestions

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:22 pm

I have not played Oblivion for a few months now, and I want to get back into it. Does anybody have any suggestions for a rp? I want my character to be human and be sneaky using bows and daggers to kill silently. Unfortunately I have a mac so I'm playing on my xbox, and I have Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine. Thanks in advance!

What about an Assassin who masquerades as a Courtesan, using her femininity to influence her way into a seat of power, and killing those who won't "cooperate"?

This idea was suggested to me by Acadian, and I applied it to a female Dunmer named Chani Belavyn. She's very fun to play.

One idea that I was going to try out was a woodsman. Core skills would be light armour (shame there's no unarmoured), bow, sneak, alchemy, athletics, mercantile and possibly illusion. The idea would be to go out into the wilderness around the cities and hunt down game. Sell the pelts and meat, and collect ingredients / meat for use in potions, which can again be sold. For example, deer stalking provides you with a constant stream of highly useful health potions from venison and whatever you care to combine it with.

If you do not want to do one of the major quest lines, one idea is to give your character a mission. For example, it might be to explore every Ayleid ruin in the game (which was my character Teresa's. I even made a list of all the ruins and checked them off one by one so I would not miss any). Or it might be to hunt down goblins, or bandits, or vampires, or necromancers. Then fill in a backstory once you have that. An Ayleid explorer might be a former academic, who lost their credibility for their wild theories on Ayleid history and culture. So now they are on a mission to prove themselves right. Or perhaps it was their father who was the discredited scholar, and they are going to set things right for him. The goblins, bandits, vamps, necs, are easy to find a reason to hunt down. They killed your character's [insert loved one here], and now it is time for vengeance.

I like the Crusader Angle, A Zealous servant of the Nine, who hunts down covens of Necromancers, Conjurors, Vampires, Undead and Deadra, for the glory of the nine.
