Suicidal Super Mutants...?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 4:48 pm

The fact that they sometimes scream "this is the age of the super mutant" kinda suggest they do have a level of fanatical behaviour that suggest they are actively trying to eradicate humans from the Boston area. The whole kill loot thing is just them building there army for said goal.

One shot with a sniper rifle in the face usually stops them! And you get to keep their mini nuke! :D

Strong specifcally mentions this at one point... he sais something along the lines of not being able to wait until super mutants kill everything.

so yes their end goal is genocide of everything else.

Strong is only temporarily leaving the mutants.. with plans to return to them when he is stronger and lead them on their mission to kill everything.

He believes the SS can make him stronger so that he can accomplish his goal.

Oh, man.. I hate these things. When I see one I panic... VATS!! - Right arm-right arm-RIGHT ARM! BOOOOOM!

I don't think it's dumb at all. I think it adds excitement to the game-play.

Dude, read some wikis and stuff. Mutants just want to kill, survive and be the superior race.

That "order" is some sort of contract, not something like their doctrine of existence.

Also There are 2 sorts of muties, not just the one created by tha master but also the one, created in vault 87 through FEV-infestation. They had a free will from th start and no "master" to follow. They just have the goal of bloody revenge.

@ Strong-story: thank's for the advice, I actually didn't have him as a companion yet, I just thought he would be "nice" in some way, as he helps you. My mistake and now I want to search for him :D

I was left scratching my head in confusemant the first time I encountered one. The kamicrazy got stuck running into a car and succeeded only in blowing all his mates up who were standing nearby. I just looted the bodies, or what was left of the bodies.

Strange.

well hes helping you to help himself.. youll understand when you meet him... basically he thinks humans have some power he can learn.. and the other mutants tried to lock him up for listening to a human (who was really reading poetry to them to try to change them) but he mistakenly believes that one of the lines from the poem is a real thing he can have and believes you can help him get this power.. which he states multiple times he would use to help super mutants kill everything... but you of course know it isnt real and just take him for free super mutant help lol.

of course i didnt progress along his loyalty or whatever path.. so i dont know if anything actually comes from this or if he changes or something.. but it starts out with him wanting to wipe out everything.. again i didnt bring him along much.. just for a little bit to see how he was.. im a stealth build now and super mutants arent so great at stealth... i mean you can hear their footsteps a mile away ;D (which also annoys the crap out of me... kinda like dogmeat and the barking) Also he hates stealth.. and you get a dislike from him if you do it and he complains... he also complains alot if you join the railroad... stealth/secrecy is not his thing..

He also hates power armor.. using power armor in front of him will net you a dislike. (i dont use power armor but one of my stupid settlers parked the power armor right in front of the door to my base so i had to move it.. and strong gave me a dislike for using the power armor.) Im assuming this is because of the brotherhood of steel and how they hunt his kind using power armor

It's no healthy when a person names himself "suicider". His friends and family really should have a good long talk to him, and take his nukes away :shakehead:

Why couldn't they copy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phRZwRcc7HY&feature=player_detailpage#t=154 Those "Hulking Mass of Destruction"s were fun to fight ^_^

My 2nd death (only died twice so far), was by suicidal super mutant. LOL I was thinking, well that is new and then oh crap, as he comes running towards me at full speed! I was too surprised to even think to use VATS and then it was too late LOL. After that I made sure I sniped that suicidal maniac. It reminds me of those Combine zombies in Half Life 2 that run towards you with a grenade. :) Maybe these mutants think that the nuke or bomb won't kill them, after all they are dum dums hehe

I think it's a cool addition, even so they are a pain, but it sure keeps you on your toes around SMs. :)

nah just target their bomb arm in vats.. easiest kills youll ever get.. on the suiciders targeting their bomb arm with vats targets the bomb itself.

Often the suicider is right next to a bunch of the other mutants.. so i kill a whole bunch of mutants with only a single bullet.. the suicider actually helps you kill them once you learn the target arm in vats trick.

Yea thanks! I saw that comment earlier and trust me, I will remember that from now on! Plus, I picked up a real sniper rifle and modded the heck out of it. :) Plus, I got a combat shotgun now that does 75 damage. hehe

Beth missed an opportunity to troll us with these suicidal baddies. If they succeed they should blow us to the moon, ala giant clubs.

Of course there is no such thing as depression in an post-apocalyptic world right? OF COURSE no one would kill themselves.

I had one running at me plus a crowd of Muties shooting at me, when the SSM got near the crowd, I went into VATS, targeted the arm with the Nuke on it (I was carrying 'Nora', my .45 Revolver Sniper rifle) One shot and five dead muties  .

Actually I'm not that skilled, I believe it was a fluke, and Dogmeat was making a run at them and was just outside the blast zone.

How funny would it be if there was a small chance the decapitated head of the suicide mutant continued shouting insults at you for a few seconds.

"HAHAHA! Stupid humans."

I really like them, something different. Plus when you see one with a patrol you can take a entire patrol out in one go if you land your shot right.

They're not supposed to be smart fighters, I think, but yeah, they're a little aggressive, lol. What puzzles me is why they're so fragile. I had a hard time with them in FO3, but in FO4 they drop like flies. I'm plowing them down with my automatic .38 pipe rifle at lvl 13...not cool.

Ya the whole point of super mutants is they are stronger than you, you would think them suicide bombing would defeat the purpous of that, like it should be a weaker enemy that regularly could not kill you like a goul or a synth (they are extraordinarily weak in this game)

ran into 3 last night. I was on top of the police station. 1 of the SSM got from outside to the roof through the doors in 5 seconds! bypassed all 3 of the BoS inside..
