Having a problem continuing Viconia's romance (Chapter I). I got to the point in the quest where my journal tells me "Viconia has been acting strange lately. I had better get some sleep. I have a feeling she won't talk to me until I do." So, I go to sleep...but nothing changes. I was playing Windfall Island at this point, so when she walked off after getting disgusted with me, she just kinda walked to the entrance cave and stayed there. When I catch up to her and talk to her, she acts like nothing changed and still follows me. I wait another 24 hours and I don't get any dialogue advancement.

Should I retry this on Cyrodiil? I have a previous save I can fall back to.

My concern is that I really don't know when this quest is over! Haha. Maybe it's just time to switch over to Chapter III? Or should I still be able to advance? Honestly I have no idea where I am in terms of the story and I can't find a walkthrough for part I anywhere.

Any help would be awesome!

You have a ways to go. You're likely at Stage 142 and I bet Windfall is interfering with the mod somehow. I would retry in Cyrodiil. If that doesn't fix it do this in the console:

I'm starting to receive more of the voicing for the first part of the merged mod. The revoicing of what was Chapter/Part One is so much better than the original, it's astounding.

Okay I got the first chapter, looking for a nice companion to come along on my adventures. And well I got this message saying a dark elf is being executed.
I made my way to Bruma and well... Went down to the prision cells, asked the guard to "visit a prisoner"

Viconia shouts out "Oh blablabla what have I blabla you must save me."
(The whole blablabla part was absolutly great when played, just don't remember it.)

So I talk to her and she goes on about a lot of weird stuff. and for some reason she calls me Abbi or something.

We talk for a while and then the quest updates going "I've met this elf lady and she's wicked cool gotta watch her and yadayadyada... she speaks of a battle with a god and so on."

Here's my problem. She didn't mention a god, she didn't mention any battle... she did mention something about a darkness flipping her over or something.

Did I install this the wrong way or is she suppose to be a crazy mystery?

And when we parted I thought "hmmm, how shall I get this girl out of here."
I left the prison and there she was, now she's my companion, mystically she got out of prison and found me.

One somewhat superficial problem I noticed for both Viconia and Stoker (Saerileth too I'd imagine, but lets just say... Saerileth isn't one of my more favorite partners, so I didn't play with her for long enough to really tell.)

When they engage an enemy, what they'll do is they'll engage it for like 3 seconds, then disengage, put away their weapon, and run back to you. Then like a second or two later reengage, and the process starts all over again.

Its quite annoying. While not quest breaking it does reduce their effectiveness.

Any way to fix this?

She just turned to me and said "Take your eyes off me plainsman"

and I answered "Your beauty is distracting."

Then she was silent, was there suppose to be some sort of dialogue following this?

That is normal. She will speak to you every 24 hours game time. You can force it if you want to. make sure u download and read the read me file.

The revoicing of the first mod is going very well. I'm going to do the combat AI patches this week. Once the revoicing of Part 1 is done the merge will be released.

I hope this doesn't seem incredibly silly but I am little bit confused with the Stoker Wolff Companion mod's and the Vampire Hunter Mod's compatibility. You mention that the Hunter is a complete remake of the original, so if I download and play the first Stoker mod will the second override it? Or will it be a smooth transition between the two, romance and all?

Vic is my favorite companion. Once that bug is squashed with her putting up away weapons she'd be perfect. Well perfect as I want a companion. She is dangerous . She has one shot killed me more then she has healed me. I don't take it personally, I know I really have to watch my back if a drow is behind me. If I fail to do so, I get what I deserve. Heck even the quest log suggests I should keep on my toes around her.

I would love to have her fighting script improved. That would make her the ultimate companion for my PC.

The Vampire Hunter essentially is an optional version. If people don't want to deal with the Underdark they can just use the old Stoker mod. For those that want the full monty, the Vampire Hunter is the way to go. They are not meant to be played together at all, it's one or the other.

I should have the patch done by the end of the night tonight.

Because I'm working on the merge I have to redownload chapter one and three of Viconia and patch the script in both. It's an easy fix that took me months to figure out. I have it in the merged mod and it works fantastic. No more issue.

The voicing for the first mod is coming out amazing. I've also added and changed a few things now that I can do so.

Sweet, what kind of things are being patched? I just got done with Viconia chapter 1, I didnt notice any real bugs.

I do have some questions/suggestions..
Perhaps I am going blind, but how can you tell when chapter 1 is over and you need to install chapter 2? I am assuming its after the loth fight and she suggests you get married? Perhaps a pop-up suggesting you start the next part of the series?

When rescuing Vic from the jail, how are you supposed to go about it? What I end up doing is asking the guard to visit the prisoner, talk to her and just summon her out of the cell. I was hoping more of a post bail scenario. Or bribe a guard. If messing with the npc dialog is a no go, perhaps a magical post bail box? It subtracts 500 gold from you and springs Vic from her cell. If explaining it lore-wise is an issue just drop a note on the guards desk explaining the new jail system for dangerous magic users.

edit: Hope the real life issues were not to bad, they can be a real kick in the teeth. Recently lost my job, job shopping while playing with my oblivion load order is neat.

I have another faction question. Is Viconia a member of the Nine Divines faction? I'm using the mod http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24656, which uses OBSE to automatically add Nine Divine robes to members of the faction depending on rank. Well, Viconia always gets a robe in inventory whenever I enter a cell with her. I can take the robe out of her inventory so she'll equip other clothing, but whenever I come back to her, she has another Nine Divine robe!

Not really a big deal; just a weird little conflict if she's a member of the Nine Divines faction.

Hmmm, I don't think she adds factions to herself along with the player. I'll have to look but off-hand I don't believe she does.

His mods should not present any problems.

I think she should join the player factions, otherwise the Arcane University, the fighters Guildhalls (at night), the upper floors of the Mages Guildhalls, etc would be closed to her.
