The only issue with Saerileth is I'll have to see if I can recontact the original author (for the the BG2 mod) and see if she will do the additional voice lines.

After The Necromancer Hunter is done (should be this weekend) I'll try merging Saerileth and Viconia Part I.


So Wolff will be playable shortly in his second iteration? I've been holding off for its conclusion, but I know there remains much work to be done on the Underdark. I'm wondering whether I shouldn't just use version 1 at this point, the standalone model.

As some may or may not know I'm doing a Necromancer Hunting Quest. It's a side quest type of thing, not meant to be a main quest and no companion. Doing it mainly for myself but there was enough interest to publish it. Should be out this weekend.

The Underdark for the purposes of Viconia and Stoker IS done. It's still expanding but those parts won't be hit until TUS Part IV.

I would go with TVH.

Ill be picking up tVH from Bruma once I'm done Viconia pt1. I just told my backstory about the imperial prison, but I don't know how far along that is in her progression. halfway? two thirds? I don't mind a general hint on where I am in her timeline. But once I get Stoker I'll be doing the friend path and will report to you any odd things I find, ok?

Doh!! oh well, it'll be worth the wait I'm sure. I just can't stand the default 30 timescale.....you blink and it's 4 hours later. I'm at 10 now, that's as quick as I'm letting it get. Just my own little issue. ;)

I remember. I've always thought you did a great job with the transfer by the way. AND! I'm currently playing the "same" character I started in BG1 and continued through BG2, NWN, NWN2 and now he's in oblivion. It's awesome that Viconia has met back up with me after all this time. I like the one stage a day setup for your mods....I think the pacing is great. It's the game speed I had an issue with. But setting timescale to 10 fixed that.

A couple of things to note at the end of Part III. In the Temple of Lolth make sure ALL of the priestesses are dead before you kill the handmaiden. Otherwise it can screw up lolth's speech. Make sure you save. I had one time just this morning where Lolth in spider form appeared in one of the columns.

Also there is no quest marker for the temple of lolth. I'll have to add it.

Hi Sultericdrums,

I use (and love) Viconia part 1. I've recently added Companion Resurrect http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29292 and Set Essential Actors by b3w4r3 (most user unfriendly name ever?). I have removed viconia's essential tag using Set Essential Actors, and I now resurrect her when she dies. It seems to work well, although Viconia takes a while to start responding once resurrected. I have two questions:-

Firstly, does Viconia acquire guild membership alongside the player membership? The reason I ask is that Viconia died in a confused multi way battle recently. I resurrected her and carried on. That night I was surprised to recieve a visit from Lucien, claiming I'd murdered someone. I also discovered that I'd been suspended from the Mage's Guild for killing a member. My best guess is that I had accidently dealt the death blow to Viconia during the melee, thereby alerting the Dark Brotherhood,and that the game also considered her to be a Mage's Guild member. This is not a problem from my point of view, I see it more as a nice bit of interaction between mods, and a lesson about being more careful in future.

Secondly, have you looked at b3w4r3's companion mods? Do you foresee any further problems using them alongside your companions?

Hmmm, I don't think she adds factions to herself along with the player. I'll have to look but off-hand I don't believe she does.

His mods should not present any problems.

Thanks for the reply Sulteric. The reason I thought Viconia must be in the MG faction is that a mage in one of the guild houses once gave her the 'Greetings Evoker' greeting. Hance my train of thought that led me to suppose that by accidently killing her I'd killed a guild member.

3. Play through Viconia Part I and then Part III and go back to Part II, leaving Viconia at home until it's done otherwise it won't make sense. Once you have accomplished the main goal and visited the Underdark for the LAST time you can bring Viconia back into the party, finish TVH.

#3 is the way it's meant to be played. Its kind of like Star Wars episodes 4 through 6 coming before 1 through 3.


Is Part III to all intents and purposes finished? Because if so, I'll remove V I and move to V IIII.

I have played Viconia part I and simply loved her. Now I'm about to start a new game and I'm sure that I'll be playing Viconia part I & III. However, the more I read about Vampire Hunter, the more I'd like to play it.

Here's the thing (I know it might be irritating, as you have already been asked the question over and over): I'm very keen on roleplaying when I play oblivion, and although it might give me more insight to the story, there's now way I'm playing mods the way that the timeline is somehow broken. So, part II, then part III. However, I am wondering about part I and II and the apperance of Viconia in Vampire Hunter. You have mentioned a moment, when together with Stoker we meet Viconia. Does it make any sense lore-wise that I know her at that point? That we are lovers, as in part I ending? Or is it better to play the Vampire Hunter, and then rescue Viconia from the prison?

I hope you don't mind my question, although it may sound strange, it's quite important to me (I keep a short journal of my character, etc).

And, I have another, perhaps even more impertinent question - did sunsi send you her version of stoker's face? Is it avalible in the game, or will you make a change-face-patch, so that the players are given choice, which version to use? Don't get me wrong, your face is quite cool (a little to girlish for my taste, but i know how hard it is to make a decent looking male in Oblivion), but her version is just sooooo cool, that I considered leaving Viconia and going out with him for a moment :P

(i've previously posted that in the VH thread, but noticed it's long-dead)

I would do I II then III but I would wait on TVH because I need to make an update to it to fix some things if you play the "friend only" thread. Otherwise it would break immersion. The best way I think is to do I then III then II because you get to see how everything led up to Part III. But it's your call. I should have the fix done by late next week.

Would it be at all possible in the next release of TVH to place him in another cell? I only ask because it was somewhat immersion breaking to only take viconia from the cell when wanting to play the mods serially. At any rate I love the characters, and being given reason to travel to the underdark. Looking forward to your next mod!

List of things being changed/updated in The Vampire Hunter:

- Atmospheric sayings will be fixed so that romance based sayings will happen if playing him as a romance interest and if the player is playing as a friend there will be added friend based sayings.

- Fix missing voicing in a couple of parts.

- Remove the Book from the player and give it to Stoker when found.

- When Stoker says the Book of Loth is missing it is removed from his inventory.

- When the player returns the sword after dealing with Stoker's dad, she will take the sword.

- Better quest logs.
