a good place for new missions and for experts of the magics
similar to the shivering isles expansion for oblivion but with high elves for leadership

 Every province should get their own game, none of this "shoehorn them in as DLC" nonsense.

Too big for DLC, my opinion. Atmora would be better, plus my character is Nede so...

You kidding? Bethesda already stated they aren't doing anything as big as Shivering Isles (very sad :( and I hope they change their mind), and Bethesda has never done a whole province as a DLC.
Together, these circumstances can tell us that Summerset Isle as an expansion will never ever happen for Skyrim.

At best, we might get Daggerfall, Roscrea, Atmora, or a part of a nearby provicence, or another daedric realm (<_<).

I love Summerset Isles but I think it deserves to be a stand-alone game.

This thread again. Summerset Isle is a stand alone game material, look at the map and read the books!

The Summerset Isles are as far as you can possibly get form Skyrim in terms of geographic location. It makes no sense to have a DLC about it for Skyrim.

Besides, what others said, Summerset isn't even near Skyrim.

Tell me, how are you gonna get from one end of Tamriel to the other, and then back again? A Journey that normally takes WEEKS.

Summerset Isle is best as a Stand-alone game. And even then, it will probably not be well-recieved unless all the crystal spires are in ruins due to whatever troubles may be the focus of TES__: Summerset. Mostly because of the "WAHH! IT'S NOT HOW I IMAGINED IT!" problem that fan-favorite games have.

I hoping for Summerset Isle as the Elderscrolls VI...
It would be a great change from Snowy Skyrim and everyone loves Sunny Islands.

LOL @ Summerset in a DLC. Why not one DLC for each province and we're done, there will be no Tes 6.

Much rather have Beth wait to make Summerset till they can make water and crystal look so amazing that it makes any other game that even tries to claim that it is an open world cry with envy. I think it should get its own game.

I just don't see it happening. I'll take High Rock. It's already had it's own game, it's small, and it's right next to Skyrim.

I don't like that province... a remake of daggerfall would be better...

Would be nice, but it'd be even better as it's own game. If they release an expansion for Summerset Isle, I'll buy it of course. But I doubt they'll do that. No more Shivering Isles sized DLC is sad. My favorite additions to games so far is Shivering Isles, Bloodmoon, Tribunal, and Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare expansion. The Pitt is also there somewhere. Wizard's Tower-ish DLC are interesting, but expansions are better. By a lot.

Summerset Isle is a great place for an entire game. An expansion can't do it justice, let alone a tiny dlc.

Wouldn't mind a going to high rock or something, but I'd really hope for DLC in a similar vein to Knights of the Nine, something small but gives you more to do within the games world.

I think Summerset Isle deserves its own game. If they do a Shivering Isles sized DLC for Skyrim I'd like it to be in either Akavir or Hircine's realm during The Hunt.

Assuming they make 4-5 or so DLCs they could make each DLC a part of the High Rock region, so when you own every DLC it would form a complete Skyrim-sized High Rock by piecing together a couple of Point Lookout-sized zones, each part of the region would have their own flora (Like MW's regions) and story arc.

Think of it exactly like MW's Tamriel Rebuilt project; as in it's in separate parts, but made by Beth as DLC,

They'd handle only owning DLC 1 and 3, as in parts of High Rock by having an initial .esm file that adds a LOD heightmap of the entire region then having each DLC in the form of a .esp addon to that .esm. each area would then be closed off with invisible walls like every beth game after Oblivion.

If you think of 5 beth DLC's as a whole it's pretty far from just a "shoe-in" region thrown quickly together to make a few bucks, all of Fo3's DLC had a total development time of 9 months, with each having a distinct, well-made tileset and a load of other assets, Shivering Isles was only developed over half of that, or about 4.5 months.

Of course most of Fo3's DLCs weren't well received mostly due to them being "closed-off" and linear. But if they were to make the High Rock region then obviously making the DLC's linear would be impossible.

Solstheim (Bloodmoon) as a single DLC would be cool too.

That is, disappointing. I wonder why. I hope it's not just "loldlc is more profitable".
