nice links their strupe, i actually downloaded 2 for myself, the staff with the dragon head looking thing and the clean aylied ruins. summerset isles are sure turning out good so far

Very nice finds, strupekutter! I had already seen most of those, and once I think about it, quite a bit of them can be used! Some of them are just little detail things, but its still good! :)

Dang.. I just completed the basic exterior for Skywatch, didnt do something right, and I lst about 3/4 of the work... :/
I lost everything but what was saved in the first .esp.
Its weird though, because I made sure to .esm ify the Summerset.esp before I worked on it, saved the first .esp, and when I opened it later to work some more, i saved a second.esp, and .espified the Summerset.esp. But in game, there wasonly objects from the first .esp. When I laod the second .esp in the CS, nothing is there. So what did I do wrong to lose it?
EDIT: since I have to basically restart the main portion fo Skywatch, it brings me this question: Should Skywatch have stairs for the lower portion, and portals for the middle and upper portions?
EDIT 2: Huh... I made a new test .esp dependant on Summerset, with the first Skywatch .esp loaded, and the test .esp objects dont show up either... Hiow do I fix this? use the combine loaded plugin tool in the CS?

Stop trying to create new ESPs each time you run the CS. ESMify Summerset.esp then ACTIVATE your first ESP. Keep working with that ESP (but keep backups!).
If you create a new ESP every time you do some more work, you'll need to ESMify each previously created ESP first, and at the end you'll have to try to use TES4Gecko's Merge to Master function to recombine each ESP to the preceding ESP (having first converted each previous ESP into an ESM before merging - this is like ESMifying except you also have to change the file extension from ESP to ESM - then converting the resulting merged ESM into an ESP, then starting over with the next preceding ESP), which will get very messy and probably won't work right.

But last time I tried to save to a loaded .esp it never allows me to do so...

did u have all the masters esmified and activated? it wont save if not. and do work with 1 .esp it makes life so much easier

Yes I did. Im having problems working with just one .esp. Ive always thought you had to make a new .esp, so I must inquire,how do I save to a loaded .esp?

mark it as an active file when loading, and then just save like normal.

Alright i collected everything needed for the minimum requirements for the new boardspace. Now to wait and see if they like it. Hang tight, everyone. soon there will be claims galore, once i finish the Skywatch esterior.

Been actually playing the game again. I finished most of the exterior, the platforms and some houses, but for some reason there are a lot of texture and UV map errors when playing with it loaded ingame. I have followed the instructions for .esmifying the .esp exactly, and it still acts weird. The items are all in place, it just has long-term effects like rtandom disappearing biped clothing objects, pink hands, black statics... its weird. The load screen often turns pink and the sunlight turns pink too. It seemed to stop after I disabled the Summerset.esp and the Skywatch .esp but I don't know.
As for the boardspace, apparently I have credibility issues so Im inquiring what they mean by that.
overall, progress is slow, but its good. Once i learn how to fix the weird problems (if I can, they might not even be caused by the Summerset and Skywatch .esps) then progress will go much faster. As long as Im not addicted to the game. :P

I'm not a modeler, but I am decent at world building and would love to help with this project.
Couple of questions though:
1. Is this an addition to the Summerset Landscapes addon by Onra?
2. Are there any models and textures that you know that you will use for sure?

maybe form a small team, small down the project and focus on the city and area of Firewatch first....after that you could continiue working on Summerset or working on a different province ( there is enough space avaible ) ...just my two cents

So I have come to a conclusion, i will continue modding. I will start by overhauling my "White Gold Tower" mod, until onra's new heightmap is finished, then i will restart work on Summerset Isle, hopefully getting farther this time than last, as i lost ALL progress.
