Sun / Sky to bright

Post » Mon Feb 15, 2010 9:15 am

Hi the sun and the sky are to bright,
my eyes are very sensitive to light and the bright sky is hurting my eyes and giving me headaches,
is thier anyway to reduce the brightness of the sky without reducing the brightness of the whole game,
i've turned all the screen effects off hoping that will help it has a bit but not enough.

Thanks,

Dig through the game's assets, find the textures for the sky, and edit them in Photoshop or GIMP.

Turn off Bloom or HDR. (launcher settings)

You'll sacrifice some quality elsewhere but the sky will be significantly muted.

Wear sunglasses while playing?

How do you normally play games that have regular skies?

Actually i always wear dark tinted glasses,
there are very few games out there that have very bright skies, i mean when you are facing the direction of the sun in this game its like looking in the direction of the winter sun in real life its blinding.
I've been messing about and on the auto start, options, in the screen efects i've turned the HDR option on and that seems to have toned it down a bit, :).

Glad to hear you're able to enjoy the game now. You could also still make a request in the mod forum for someone to edit the sky textures if that would help further.
