Oi, Sunshine Tidings, y u so buggy 4?

Anyone else notice Sunshine Tidings seems more buggy/glitchy than other settlements?



Here's what I've been seeing:



-Bad (incorrect) stats in pip-boy map, at twice the rate of other settlements. When I get this bug, it's Sunshine 3 times out of 5.*



-Teleporting settlers who vanish, then reappear 3 feet away, then walk in a circle before teleporting again.



-Settlers who can't pathfind their way through the simplest of structures.



-"Move" and "assign" commands take eons to register, and sometimes never register at all.



-Settlement self-destructs more often than others.



-Attacks do not resolve properly. Attack does not "end" when all attackers lay dead, resulting in "failed to defend" EVERY TIME.



Anyone else? What IS going on at Sunshine Tidings?




* TVs & jukeboxes deleted, problem persists.



EDIT: I did "break" the size cap, but these issues were going on LONG before I did so.

Seems random. I have other places that continue to have problems even I try to do what other players suggests here and everywhere else.

IDK..but my first playthrough, I had stuff like that going on at the theatre settlement...once went there to 'rescue' them and it wouldn't complete, I ran all over to find enemies...finally found a single ghoul inside the theatre screen...

Are you sure you don't have a synth infiltrator in that settlement? (Hint: don't forget to check any brahmin as well while you're at it.)



Other than that, settlements can be terribly buggy at times yes.

No, I've never had an attack or any funny business at that location.


However it's one of those locations that can be part of a quest in some playthroughs.


In my play through it doubles as a Railroad Safehouse.


Perhaps that grants it immunity from attack.



For me, at one particular settlement most of the characters disappear from time to time.


I ring the bell and they magically transport themselves to the bell en-mass.


I think they must go to the basemant.


At another everyone seems to sleep in the sea at certain times.


Weird.

I've had most of these issues you listed (except the teleporting issue), to varying degrees at most settlements, but more frequent at Sunshine Hills and Abernathy Farm. The "failed to defend" mis'l quest that happens is almost assuredly related to a synth infiltrator that wasn't killed. I've these quests twice, once at Sunshine and once at Abernathy. It's rather frustrating when you're there in time, but fail. I've read that the player has to be the one to kill the synth, and if it is killed by your defenses, it doesn't count. I can't confirm that myself, but I have read it in other threads. In one instance, I killed the synth myself, but a few minutes later got the "failed" message and most of my defenses and crops were destroyed. I started to repair them, then all of a sudden, every thing was repaired without me touching any of the defenses/crops. I just turned around and everything was fine. Seems like a bugged occurrence, but I don't know that for a fact either.



The one thing I do hate about Sunshine Farms is the dead ghoul bodies that won't disappear. I lug them out and throw them down the hill, but when I return, they are always back where they originally were.



Also, tato crops that won't repair at Abernathy Farm.

Sunshine tiding was my first large settlement, lots of ready houses and was told to set up an beacon.



i often get wrong pipboy reports but never from Sunshine tiding
