Super Bots

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:03 pm

I was wondering if anyone else noticed that the AI bots on hard difficulty( possibly any difficulty) were able to do things that human players cannot even with upgrades. like for instance if you knock them down they start shooting before they hit the ground there seems to be no delay like human players have when you perchase the upgrade. Actualy it seems like they have none of the restrictions that human players do.

Downed Shooting is firing while Incapped.

They were firing while Knocked Down. Don't cut corners with the three bodily stages, Knocked down, Incapacitated, and Dead are all very different and you're doing it wrong.

I didn't noticed that, but if this is correct I don't really see an issue in it. IMHO. The A.I. in this game needs all the help it can get when playing against actual players.

I agree that they are able to recover much faster from melee attacks so much so that there is little benefit in performing them. The bots are broken. End of story. Another of my favorites is their ability to immediately spin 180 degrees and pull off sick headshots. I've played countless other shooters that handle enemy AI just fine so I'm not sure what SDs excuse is.

I can start firing while I'm still falling after a gunbutt or slide knocks me down.

Can't do it when I've been incapped. Ever. Because I don't do downed fire.

I think I might on my Heavy, though, because Downed Fire + Lobster = OMGWTFHAX.

That's all well and good but how's your accuracy? I doubt you're pulling off multiple headshots on the way down like our mutual friends, the bots.

Oh, and I like your idea about the Lobster. Hax indeed.

I have done a couple of times with my Galactic.

Don't have a grip on it either.

I had a combination of body shots, headshots and misses, but I've run around a corner into a Heavy and had him die before I hit the ground after his melee attack.

Hard bots do headshot a ridiculous amount though. That's all you see in the kill feeds.

ok so it's not just me then. The instant head shot thing was a good point. I was picked off by a single head shot from a heavy body type Bot with a gotlung gun from a 100 yards way that's rediculous. What ever Not a big deal I still love this game.
