So, you can level up off of any skills (they got rid of major skills and minor skills). And you get a perk every level. With no level cap.
I like this idea but won't this make every character the same? All skills to 100, all attributes to 100, and every perk. Sounds like the gear you are wearing will affect what you are not what you are classed as.
Or maybe I'm wrong because this would also mean that the journey would make your character instead of the beginning stats. I.E. (Endurance raises your HP higher etc.)
I don't know.. I'm rambling and bored. Anyone wanna do perk ideas?
From my standpoint, it's not much different in terms of how players will (ab)use it. In both Morrowind and Oblivion you could eventually become a god with everything at 100, but your choice of class would affect
your starting gameplay, i.e. the first 40h while you are low level. In that time frame, you would do only what you do best, cause you svcked at everything else
. Same thing in Skyrim: you'll want to focus on something at the beginning (to survive!) and only later become the god(dess).
The real benefit of the new system is that reaching godhood is now somewhat harder, since there are no "Misc" skills that you can use to pump attributes without increasing your level.
