Super megamod pack?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 2:24 pm

Say I want my fallout to be insane super duper crazy, how many content adding mods can I install simoultanioisly?
Like adding more weapons, more quests, more companions, more areas.
Possibly even adding Fallout 3's Capitol Wasteland (they use the same engine so why not?)

Someday i dream of finding all the mods out there and try to get the creators together to help create a megamod that could literally change New Vegas into a new game, kind if like how Narodnaya Solyanka does for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC.

There's a technical limit of 254 simultaneous ESP/ESM-based mods (including DLC), but you'll never reach that before the game becomes unstable. For most people it's more like 100 to 140.

There is a mod that adds Fallout 3 into New Vegas. It's called Requiem for the Capital Wasteland (RFCW for short). It's imperfect, even after months of work, but it is awesome.

There is no ''megamod'' nor Total Conversion for New Vegas.

Could it be possible to get a team together and make a total conversation mod?

It's always ''possible'' but it relies on finding a group of people who share a common vision AND who actually follow through. That's rare with mods for any game, ever. I'd bet most Total Conversions that are actually completed are either the work of a single person (over the course of some long stretch of time), or of a team that goes on to become an actual game development team (and so stops making free mods because they start making products that they sell for $).
