Super Mutant Jail Cell

hey guys, i'm new, and i did try to use the search function, but i came up with nothing of this sort (well, i probably didnt look hard enough)

anyways, In the first fallout game, the Super Mutant, Harry, tells you he is going to take you to his master, and you are then thrown in jail. i cleared the first floor, but after that, there are too many super mutants for me to fight. is there anyway out of there? or is that a beginnger's trap, and you have to be nearly a pro to be able to escape?

Its not really a trap, but it is very hard (possibly near impossible if your PC is very low level). Its unusual to be in the Necropolis when you're that low level.

If you have the option, reload before Harry takes you there. If not... Try to heal up (using skills) between fights and get well armed as soon as you can. (Come to think of it... I'm not sure that it's possible to end combat once they go hostile ~try to end combat when you are isolated, and see.)

Either way, odds are slim to none (Its a long trek out), but what a fight if you succeed :tops:
(I'd recommend sneaking and and running ~but not at the same time).

And if you have some Buffout or Psycho, take them to give you more action points and run away faster. No worries about being addicted, it brings a whole new fun to the game. :D

In Fallout 2, my jet-addicted character was already a killing machine without drugs. When I was forced to take Jet to escape a battle, I became addicted....and it made him much, much more dangerous. ;)

If you haven't got a save before being caught by harry, you're in trouble. If you do, go back and try to sneak past him or pass the speech check to convince him you're a ghoul or a robot.

True this. I've always became a jet addict in Fallout 2. I then kill a dealer and get around 30 inhalers.

I did that yesterday, I was pretty low level too and couldn't get out of it, so I loaded a save before that, tried to convince him I was a robot, and failed. I refused to go with him, and combat started. I managed to run all the way to the exit grid on the left side, then went back, and he was standing where he was when I left, but he didn't do anything to me, so I was able to walk past him and continue with the quest.
