Superhero Outfits

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 12:25 am

Hello. This topic is going to be about what I like to call "superhero outfits". It's a term I came up with one night while gaming with my wood elf, Lady Saga. She wants to show off hers, from head to toe

Keep in mind, each and every one of these items have been found simply by looting dungeons, and Saga is now just Level 6. I will post a pic later. ...Or, you can just visualize a complete leather and fur outfit, with blue suede shoes on her feet. :)

Wizard's Helmet + 15 magicka. Worth 1,510 gold

Brusef Amelion's Cuirass (I think this has a cold resistance). Saga isn't wearing this right now. worth about 710 gold

Gauntlets of Vigor Fortify Strength +6. Her only heavy armor piece. Worth: 625 gold.

Greaves of the Monkey: Fortify Acrobatics +6. Fur armor. 608 gold.

Blue Suede Shoes of Sneak: +6 sneak (durr). 604 gold

....And these are her weapons of choice...

Rockshatter:
Shock damage 5 pts per strike, +4 regular damage. Weakness to Shock 10% for 20 secs as well. 236 gold

Bow of Sparks: Shock Damage 5 pts +3 regular damage. Worth: 166 gold.

I dunno. I just thought it was pretty cool: She just found those Blue Suede Shoes of Sneak and this means her outfit is now completed head to toe. Just thought I'd share.

Darn! I wish I could remember the exact enchantments of my gear for my Argonian, Shor-Ra-Khan.

All I remember is that his Daedric Longsword, "The Wrath of Khan" deals fire damage. 15 points? 20 points? Can't recall.

Kewl!

Buffy changes outfits so darn often that if any of it were enchanted, she could never keep it straight. The only enchanted apparel she has is:

- A pair of detect life rings that stack to 360 feet.
- A toe ring that Jerric gave her for her birthday that's enchanted with resist frost. RP only, but very handy up along the northern border or visiting Lothran's city of Bruma. Superian's saddle pad is enchanted with resist frost for colder clime comfort as well of course.
- Oh, and Delmar at the Chironasium put a snazzy feather enchantment on Buffy's pack as well to help support her abundant wardrobe.

If we add enchanted non-apparel items, the list only grows to include Slayer (her bow) and Azura's Star. That's it. :twirl:

Edit: Oh, here's a picture of the toe ring Jerric gave her: http://chorrol.com/files/911/toe_ring.jpg

Barb-Ann (level 6) has Wizard's Helmet, Kvatch Cuirass, Resist Fire Burgundy Linens, Sneak Blue Suede Shoes, SubRosa's Forest Friend Amulet, and a Base Ring of Intelligence. Most of the time, though, she just wears chainmail. She carries a one-hand silver axe (or a longsword) and a light iron shield.

Silvonwe is wearing four items with Fire/Shock/Frost Shield, the Ring of Namira, the Mundane Ring, one constant Detect Life amulet, the Escutcheon of Chorrol, and a hood enchanted with Fortify Magicka. She has several other enchanted articles of clothing, and a variety of quest-gained artifacts, and swaps things around to suit her needs. She owns a large collection of staffs, some of them quite unique, and carries two of them into battle. She often wears the Robe of Glib Tongues while in town.

Wlid Elf wears... Uh, a Wild Elf Suit.

Dyan phor a 'Cauz had super-hero outfits, too. She had a complete set of Elven armor (unenchanted) which nobody else in her game had, because she only got to Level 6 or 7. She also had a set of Blackwood Company armor, chose not to wear this if she had to deal with going into Leyawin, for obvious reasons. She go to her southern house (Greyland), change into the Blackwood armor, and then go off to wherever she was going to.

Dyan also had all the KotN armor pieces, but properly put them onto the stand after killing Umaril.

- A pair of detect life rings that stack to 360 feet.

:ahhh: Oh! That's to DIE FOR!

That would be nice to find. :) Usually if my character does a lot of dungeon diving, they eventually start to find Detect Life items. So far, saga hasn't found any yet.

Transcendent Sigil Stones. They're Detect Life, 180 ft, and they stack. Silvonwe just uses one of them, but that's all she needs, because she never rides a horse. 180 ft is plenty for dungeons.

That's cool. Saga aint doing the MQ, though, so no Sigil Stones. There is a lady in Cheydinhal...I think it's the orc in the general store, who sells some sort of cowl with a decent amount of DL enchanted in there. Problem is, it costs several thousand gold. I think it's something like 8,000 gp. Worth it, though.

I haven't had dinner so I guess my brain isn't working at full speed. Is this thread about clothes enchantments or clothes appearance? The opening post led me to think it might be about which clothes our characters like most, based on appearance, but everybody seems to be talking only about enchantments. I've never read a comic book. So maybe I don't understand what you all mean by "superhero outfit."

It’s the overall gear carried - at least that’s the way I read Renee’s question.

Baa (level 51) changes things around every once in a while, but lately she has:

Necklace: +20 Shield
Ring: +20 Shield
Chorrol Shield: +20 Shield + 12 armor
Sandals: +10 Shield
Earrings (tail slot): +20 Shield
Ring of Vitality
Ring of the Vipereye
Prison Irons: 180’ detect life (she also carries a wig (helmet) with 180’ DL but never uses it)
Prison Irons (second set worn in town): +10 Personality
Now that she wears clothes, she wears a vanilla Blue Silk Shirt and Chain Greaves
She also carries: Jewel of the Rumare and Necklace of Seawalking
Weapons: 2 Daedric Bows - Fire 25 and Shock 25, plus 24 Damage
Glitched Bound Dagger - Fire Damage 40
Elven Arrows and Arrows of Voltage (+15 Shock, Soul Trap 5 seconds)

Most of the enchanted items used Transcendent Sigil Stones of various types - she still has 35 left.

My current character, assassin Lizeera who poses as a mage in public, wears unenchanted Mythic Dawn robe (0 gold) from tutorial and carries goblin shaman staff also from tutorial just for looks, but in fact uses a poisoned dagger or Wabbajack when in trouble. Because
1. MD robes look badass and got built-in cool looking black gloves (!!!) and shoes, which means I don't have to carry around extra weighing shoes and did I mention gloves.
2. MD robes has no meaning to anyone (as of yet, and in Lizeera's game never).
3. Alchemy and some defensive magic grant all the protection she needs, and there's no need for enchantments.

Superhero Darilia Sarrus wears Saviour's Hide, laced leather pants and stitched leather shoes, and looted daedric bow and daedric dagger.

Marc Frau wears Mankar Camoran's Robe, The Necromancer's Amulet, Ring of Namira and Sorcerer's Ring. Gives me an insane magicka bonus (mainly because of the Necro Amulet), but also 22% Reflect Damage, 10% Reflect Spell and 45% Spell Absorption, which are all high enough not to be game breaking.

As for weapons he usually just carries a Mages Staff of Shock enchanted with 60pts Shock Damage and a Daedric Dagger called "Leech Blade" with Absorb Health 20pts.

Pseron: it's open for interpretation, I suppose. Saga's gear happens to be enchanted, but most of Dyan's stuff was not. But in both cases, each character wound up with armor and/or clothing pieces, head to toe, which nobody else in their game had. No other NPC, that is.

Think of it like this: Superman and Lex Luthor were both the only superheros in their existence. The outfits they wore were therefore unique. Oh, I've never really read comics either, not since I was a kid.

Some good answers in this thread, so far. :D

Lothran found his favorite outfit long ago and has never changed it, save from when he goes to Bruma. So it′s easy for me to remember it which is good since I′m not at my own computa atm

Head: Scholar′s Hood - Fortify Intelligence 10pts
Body: Saviour′s Hide
Legs: Leather Greaves - Shield 10pts
Feet: Leather Boots - Shield 10pts
No gauntlets

His enchanted jewelry varies a bit depending upon the situation but is mostly constant, just like his clothes. Why change a winning concept? :twirl:

Amulet: Forest Friend
Rings: Mundane Ring and Sorcerer′s Ring

Fun idea, Renee!

Rowan is my character who has finished her questlines and can choose from nearly anything the vanilla game offers. She wears the Savior’s Hide, Fire Ritual Greaves, Fists of the Drunkard, Boots of Bloody Bounding, and nothing on her head unless it’s raining. Pretty much because we like how that assemblage looks on her. Jewelry to suit the situation.

Jerric’s battle gear is steel plate chin to toe with a hood and Rasheda’s Special gauntlets. Stealth gear is Blackwater Brigand leather cuirass, shock shield enchanted blacksmith’s pants, speed enchanted leather boots, Fists of the Drunkard, hood. He always wears his Amulet of Absorption and spell absorption ring (Hump You Fetching Mages). Second ring depends on the circumstances. Either way the shield he carries is the Tower of the Nine. He carries a lot of weapons. Fine steel longsword enchanted with absorb magicka (Atronach’s Redeemer), Blades katana (Blade of the Medic), Captain Renault’s short sword or a silver mace, and a few daggers including Your Soul Is Mine (Sigil Stone enchanted).

Darian and Eliette wear unenchanted clothing. Darian only cares about not matching one of his buddies’ outfits. (One set of twins in the group is enough.) Eliette is sensitive about her slim build, so she favors outfits that flatter her backside. Even though it is a little more difficult to sneak in tight leather pants.

Ahh...this is also what I mean, Pseron. It's like you have a character who puts together an outfit that winds up being perfect for him or her (or it). Then they start wearing it all the time.

Exactly. Why even bother with anything else? :) Some characters do change their outfits a lot, others definitely do not. Lady Saga is pretty much fixated on her superhero outfit at the moment, although she's only planning on wearing Brusef's Cuirass for special occasions, whatever they may be.

Grits: Fists of the Drunkard? I'm not sure I've ever come across those...I'll have to look them up.

Not really a super outfit, but Endar Verano(lvl6) currently wears a robe of the glib tongues he picked up when he's in town, to cover his manacles as well as getting better deals. He switches back to leather and chainmail when he leaves though. He doesn't really need to, his base ring of frost shield provides more protection than the armour, but he's just more comfortable wearing it when travelling and dungeon diving.

Matthias has an Orcish cuirass and gauntlets, magekiller greaves (orcish in appearance), and boots of the jument(dwarven). He's planning to hang onto the gauntlets because they're basically bracers, which he feels gives him more freedom of movement in the fingers for casting. He's also got the Pentamagic Loop, and alternates between a ring of aegis and a base ring of nihilism depending on the situation.

Both characters wear Mages hoods.

Eleanor's outfit hasnt changed much, aside from a few pieces being enchanted here and there. She actually has three - one for everyday wear, one for Mage's Guild business and the third for the Isles.

Everyday Attire:
Eleanor's Dress, her Blue Velvet Outfit enchanted with shield 10%.
Eleanor's Shoes, the matching shoes enchanted with fortify speed (or is it athletics?)
Eleanor's Amulet, a silver necklace with a Detect Life enchantment.
Eleanor's Ring, a silver ring with another fortify speed (or is it athletics?) enchantment.

Arch-Mage's Attire:
Arch-Mage's Robes, both sets of which are currently unenchanted. They'll probably be enchanted with resist magic.
Arch-Mage's Amulet, a silver amulet with a resist magic enchantment.
Arch-Mage's Ring, a silver ring with a weak enchantment of fortify magicka.

Madgod's Attire:
Sheogorath's Regalia, given to her upon her victory over Order.
This outfit is currently incomplete. It will eventually feature a ring with water walking and an amulet of some description.

Sureal is a level 29 Breton Atronach and cousin to my first character Witch Azreal. She only wears two basic attires

Attire 1

White mages robe : Spell absorption 20
Golden ring: : Spell absorption 10
Sandles : Feather 125 pts
Magic necklace : Fortify magicka 24 pts
Enchanted wrist irons: Spell absorption 15

Attire 2

The deceivers finery: Fortify personality/speechcraft 13pts
Personality ring : Fortify personality 13 pts
Party sandals : Fortify speechcraft 13 pts

She is a destruction mage (Base magicka pool is 444) with an absorption rate of 90%. She resorts to Umbra when using a weapon.

Solitudian: you have a character named Arch Mage? Oh duh...I get it now. ...... I like all the Eleanor enchanted stuff! It almost sounds like a jewelry & apparel line we could get at WalMart or Macy's or something.

Witch: very cool!

Callidus: I have yet to be with a character who wears the Robe of Glib Tongues, but that name is ringing a bell. Guess I'll it up on UESP. I forget if the RoGT can be found with leveled loot, or if a merchant somewhere sells it.

@Renee: Eleanor's wardrobe is ... Ever-growing. She also has a Black and burgundy outfit (for specially occassions) and some Black Finery (because why not? ;)). Not to mention an array of rings and amulets ...

Nice thread idea! It's interesting to see what combinations everyone has come up with!

Renee, Baa thinks that her companion, Mooch, is a Super Hero, too. So here’s her stuff:

An explanation first. Mooch has been doing most of the fighting lately, so to make things fair for her opponents, Baa took away her Necklace of Swords (reflect damage 33%) and replaced it with an unneeded necklace with +20 Shield, but lately that was replaced with one enchanted with Water Breathing (so she would stop going unconscious every time we went in the water).

Mooch (Level 50):

Necklace: Water Breathing
Ring (Left): +20 Shield
Ring of Aegis (Right): +18 Shield
Prison Irons: +20 Shield
Blond Wig (helmet): +20 Shield
Knights of the Nine Shield: +20 Shield, +12 Armor
Green Brocade Doublet: unenchanted vanilla
Short Britches: unenchanted vanilla
Daedric Bow: +25 Shock, +24 Damage
Arrows of the Inferno: +20 Fire, +16 Damage
Fine Steel Longsword: +25 Shock, +10 Damage

Baa’s other fighter companions, Calico and Lacie, are not up to Super Hero status as yet, so they will have to wait.
