Before Avatar they were kinda cool, but rare. Now we get every single [censored] in 3D! :banghead: :banghead:

Well i have x2 5970's...

I ALSO have two nvidia 9800 gt 1g...which i've used for 3d on bc2, pretty interesting but the fast movement on an PC fps doesnt work out to well in the end but this may work with an RPG.

I went to see Resident Evil Resurection in 3D and it was pretty bad.

I wear glasses so that didnt help either. Looking through 2 lenses (my glasses and 3D glasses) completely screwed it up.

I think for most films released in 3D, obviously it is often done half-assed as a gimmick to milk extra $ out of theatregoers, rather than something that adds to the enjoyment of the story.

For games, however, it could be lots of fun to play on a 3D 1080p projector IMO, but you need a very high end GPU to get decent frame rates.

If you have an NVIDIA card, you can play Oblivion in 3D right now if you have RED/Blue glasses or "NVIDIA 3D Vision"

I really really hope that this game supports 3D. I know a lot of people are down on it, but it can be very immersive. Especially in a game like Skyrim. Imagine the depth the image would have, walking through the Forrest with all the trees, snow falling seemingly into your living room, mountains that actually look like they are miles upon miles away.

I think it would be a great addition, and will actually be a little disappointed if it is not added in. Contrary to some peoples opinions, it would not take much to get it 3D compatible, and it certainly wouldn't take away from other parts of the game. Why not include the option for those who would want it.

wow that wuld be epic... ive played a 3d game demo... if they put depth into skyrim like that... that'd be great... u may all be complaining about how everything is in 3d but idc. dont watch it in 3d if u dont want it. but dragon fights in 3d wuld be crazy.

I am sick and tired of 3D everywhere

Then don't use it.

I recent got a pair of anaglyphic glasses to test out 3d and was quite surprised at how well the effect works, even on games that have a poor 3d rating (for those who don't know, when you turn on 3d in a game, an nvidia overlay pops up and tells you what settings you should use in each game). Just Cause 2 is absolutely AMAZING in 3d, I spent about two hours doing nothing but flying under bridges in jets going "Woah".
Crysis unfortunately didn't work too well, everything was rendering at the wrong depth.

I just tried it on Oblivion yesterday, went up on to Dive Rock, and just sat there amazed, before jumping off an d hurtling to the ground.

Also, I'm short sighted, so wear glasses, and have fairly average sized frames, the glasses I have don't fit over them too well, but all the active shutter glasses I've seen leave a fairly large space in order to fit over glasses.

Yes to 3D.

I play Oblivion in anaglyph 3D on my PC (which costs NOTHING! - other than the purchase price of the game for PC and a pair of £1 anaglyph glasses, and you just download a FREE anaglyph driver and configure it and you're good to go) and it's awesome, it's a complete myth that you need expensive equipment to play in 3D.

The UI and crosshair are a bit off though, especially when looking at your inventory you have to peer over the glasses. I hope Skyrim will be properly optimised for 3d, all that is required is to set the depth of features like UI, crosshairs, sky, shadows etc which in development terms should mean little more than just including a few numbers.

It will probably support 3D because its Super Easy to do 3D for a game for the simple reason that you're in a 3D world rendered in 2D for your screen so its very easy to render it for 3D

3D for games (and animation) are easy to do. I don't see why Bethesda shouldn't do it...

If you can have it as an option to turn on/off, then yes to 3D

NVIDIA's drivers fix this.

If a monitor was made that could display 3d without the need for annoying glasses, then I'd like to see 3d in games. I doubt skyrim will support it, though.
