Support XBox 360

As a huge fan of Descent, Descent 2, and somewhat of Descent 3, (I even played the demo of Descent To Underground :P ) I hope that gamesas fully supports the XBox 360 since it and PC share some of the same development environments. Thus it should not be too difficult to port your PC games to XBox 360. XBox 360 has nearly 30 million consoles sold worldwide, with many games selling over 1 million units. For example, Gears of War 2 has just sold over 4 million units http://www.gamedaily.com/articles/news/gears-of-war-2-eclipses-4-million-sold/?biz=1. In this tough economy, its important that gamesas reaches the largest gaming audience possible, which is the PC and XBox 360 communities. A fast way for gamesas to raise cash is to release optimized, high definition, online playable versions of Descent 2 to XBox 360 via XBLA (M$ game download service for 360, so no DVD shipment is needed). I played Descent games on PS2 and the games play great via a controller. So how about it gamesas? How about releasing Descent 2 HD, Descent 4, and any other PC game to XBox 360 in addition to PC? I enjoyed playing your games years ago on my PC. But I play games now on my internet enabled XBox 360 connected to my 57in HDTV and 500 watt 5.1 surround system. Thus I don't play games on PCs anymore. I am sure others are like this as well. Perhaps there should be a poll?

I tend to agree that the dev environment is similar to the PC. Though if you look at the history of development platforms they didn't choose similar environments. They chose highest install base. That's why their consoles games appeared on SNES, Genesis, PS2, DS(coming). You are also right about appealing to the highest market. Something I keep on saying numerous times. niche games on a niche market that are expensive to make just lead to downfall. So considering these factors why 360? because you have one?
http://www.vgchartz.com/ checking out sales figures and historical and current development(PS2, DS) it's more than likely that any console development will be done on the Wii.

Honestly though considering the Wii has the highest install base and 46m this should be a target. Also since 360 is a similar environment it also would be wise to port the PC version to that console. That way including PC X number of players, + 28m(360) + 46m(Wii) for 64m + PC user base.

So yes I agree. If gamesas supports consoles they should support the 2 favorable candidates for different but good reasons.

Good points. But there are 2 issues with the wii. Its development environment is substantially different and weaker than PC. And historically speaking, 3rd party games don't sell well on nintendo home systems. So far that has been true for wii since their top selling games are from nintendo.
