suprised & I missed it

I didn't want to steel Callidus Thorns thread so I started this one hoping that what happened to me might help others.

First like most here the hours playing these games runs into hundreds, and thousands in some games (like skyrim and dragons dogma etc). All that time I thought I was RPing when actually I was sticking a charactor into a script like a movie and playing the same game a different way.

Some of you remember me talking about Ainoa, she was my fifth or sixth character for OB, and she was the first character that ever suprised me and I missed the importance of it. When she awoke after her first sleep after finishing the MQ Lucien Lachance was in her face about being a killer. Ainoa attacked him, it came out of no where not something I planned it was a total emotional responce. It suprised me so much I paused the game. Then I did the wrong thing I put her back in her script played her part and retired her after a few levels because she was boring and the die was cast.

Now comes Jules, for the same reason I don't play many shooter games any more I did not want a disposible character.

So taking from my past games and what I've read on this forum I developed a minimal vanilla background to get Jules to the cell yet start establishing her personality of which I only picked two major controlling factors, 1- coming into a new world I put the same type of fear that I had when I joined the army at sixteen and a half years old and the potential to improve as I and most of us have been doing all our lives. 2- my youngest son came down with epilepsy at two and had a lot of adjusting to get through. Years later when it went into remission(he has a family of his own) I asked him how he overcame the obstacles he said he just got mad and went for it. Hence Jules temper.

That's it. Everything Jules does is a choice for a reason happening in the game, the only reason I picked Breton is I like to play with magic and is being woven in the game not before.

After the MQ a beggar did slip her a note which has stayed in her pocket until recently and Lachances dagger is still in her pack. Does she join the DB I have know idea, the reason she joined the TG was that she kept ending up in places, or houses of dead people with tons of loot and nowhere to sell it so she only took the few coins she would find, disgusted with being poor she sought out the TG, got a fence, and started to make a little money.

A comical note on that, Jules was dressed in dark robes and sneaking along the street all thief like with a pack full of loot when a guard yelled out "Hail the champion of Cyrodiil" and asked her "what can I do for you champion". She felt like asking him to help carry this loot. Will, the dark rob etc are gone and she's taken to the sewers for thieving just to get some privacy. Not sure how the miss popular issue is going to play out with the TG.

This was the quickest, and simplest character I,ve come up with so far and yet the most complex to deal with in the game, and I'm enjoying the ---- out of it.
