Currently I Am playing on normal. So this raider in Lexington has some Power armor and a Fat man I am in my T-45B that has two pieces of blast shielding...I run and start meleeing this guy. I didn't think he would fire the fat man at point blank range but he did...and yet I cut him to pieces with my Boarded Blade and still had 40% HP. Is blast shielding that effective? I know in prior playthroughs suicide bombers with mini nukes one shotted me with T-45B PA on (no blast shielding though).

I was around the same level and survived a fatman blast from a Boomer without power armor. I was shooting him in VATS when his mini nuke came at me in slow mo and I couldn't do anything but watch it hit the wall next to me...how I survived the blast still boggles me.

That guy did the same thing to me. I didn't survive. Sniped his [censored] next time around.

Ya I am not sure but I assume having a fully repaired T-45B helped a lot....maybe he had a low heavy guns skill lmao. Cause with 2 points in the perk my Fat man does 600+ damage..

Imagine that poor raider, he unleashes a nuclear weapon on you, and you keep coming like the bloody Terminator.

^ Its literally my favorite type of build in every rpg lol. For fallout its always Power Armor, no sneaking, melee and heavy weapons. I just like tanking lol. Its like being a retro futuristic Warhammer 40K Space Marine!...which I know is basically the BoS (with different ideals of course). Did I mention no sneaking? heh
