I've played all the Crysis campaign, so i know if Nomad was already dead. what happened to Nomad is a big question mark. The final clip reveals a brief conversation between Psycho and Nomad at the end of Nomad's own, successful evaluation. Psycho asks Nomad if he's okay, to which Nomad replies "Did you disarm the warhead?" Psycho does not reply to the question, instead saying "That's my Nomad - always putting the mission first." so i was hoping he would come out pretty soon. Prophet came out at the beginning of Crysis 2, gave his nano suit to Alcatraz before killing himself. Pycho also came back in Crysis 3. some are saying NOMAD sacrificed his life to save both Prophet & Psycho's life.. for what? i have never heard of such a plot. it was not in the game. wherever Nomad is, he is alive & i dont know why he's not coming back in Crysis 3. i hope he does. it is clear he is alive & well at the end of Warhead, & there should have been another expansion after Warhead as to what Nomad was assigned to do that time. Psycho did say at the very end of Warhead that he would get Nomad out of the Island without even mentioning Prophet. i believe Psycho did got him out. Prophet in the other hand was the only one who showed up at the beginning of Crysis 2, so i think Prophet escaped the island on his own. the Crysis guys better bring Nomad back cuz he ain't dead.

If the Crysis Comic (bridging the stories of Crysis and Crysis 2 loosely together) is canon, then yes, NOMAD is dead.

they needed to get rid of c1 story, so they did it by the comic (still they never gave the reason why the aliens change)
