One exellent way to make a ton of money is before leaving the Casino in Dead Money turn all the chips into pre-war money, that plus the equipment you've scavanged can easily equal over 150,000. Then of course there is the gold bars.
50,000 caps? Thats nothing. Prices in Fallout and Fallout 2 are insain. (I don't know if you know that, not talking down to you) A thing of radAway is a 1000 caps alone.
It cost five hundred Styles, and you'd fine more then you'd ever possibly need, and chances are you'd need absolutely no radaway through out the entire game.
The weapons in New Vegas fully repaired tend to be comparable in value to weapons in Fallout 1&2 or more expensive, not counting the GRA weapons which are far more expensive then anything in the older games. 10mm submachine gun in New Vegas fully repaired, 2370, back in Fallout 1&2 only 1000. Gatling Laser 6800 in new vegas. Only 700 cheaper then in the original titles. The New Vegas sniper rifle is much more expensive then the 1&2 counterparts and along with a new name the plasma defender had an increase in price from the days as a Glock 86. The 10mm pistol costs nearly 750 fully repaired in New Vegas and a third of that in Fallout 1.
