This.

Once again.

Will save £60 or so in my bank account, just in case it is worth it.

because the game is not complete and is several months from release. I did not even know people made orders this early, which is not very smart thing to do regardless of what the game is.

I am waiting for the CE, or the unlikely announcement of no CE, before I preorder.

I was a little hesitant to pre-order the game after my last two pre-ordered games turned out to be a huge disappointment (Fable 3, Dragon Age 2)
but upon trading game into Gamestop the store manager convinced me to pre-order it, because i got so much money for my trade ins. I know its gonna be good, maybe it will fill that void that was left by two terrible games that i wasted money on D:

Gears of War 3 is an FPS with quite a few trailers and a beta.

Skyrim is an RPG with sparse screenshots and one trailer.

The average gamer knows what they're getting with GOW3, but even the most hardcoe TES fans are still unsure about a lot of key aspects of Skyrim.

Monday's E3 demo should give people a better idea of what to expect from the game, leading to more preorders.

Gears of War is actually a third-person tactical shooter. But it's got guns, chainsaw guns, and as of the third iteration, boobies. So yeah. Definite Bro-bait there. Not that there's anything wrong with that, Gears of War is one of the few "Shooters" I absolutely love, because of it's unapologetic "Michael Bay" feel, and great aesthetic design.

Are you implying that we owe Bethesda more preorders?

I already know I'll be buying the game - Collector's Edition, on PC. For some reason, I've never pre-ordered a game, except maybe a week or so before release. Just never had the need.

Do you guys have to pay to preorder? It's free at my local game store.

I'll preorder on steam if you can preload it.

I have deleted a few posts, it is fine to discuss and disagree but lay off with personal attacks.

if the game is worth it I'll buy the GOTY like I did for Morrowind, Oblivion & Fallout 3

Pre-ordering GoW3 got players into an early beta.

http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/gears-of-war-3/news/6314350/gears-of-war-3-preorders-top-1-million

I haven't pre-ordered Skyrim, but if I could get into a beta for Skyrim by pre-ordering I would in an instant =P

It's still too early for me. We still got five months and some change left to go.

Besides, I usually pre-order a week or two before the game releases anyway. I do, however, make certain execptions to an exclusive number of video games I want (if I want to get the CE and pay it off early) and Skyrim just happens to be one of them.

I pre-ordered it back near the beginning January as I have absolutely no doubts about this game not completely blowing my mind, and I will surely swallow my own head the first time I play it :tes:

I don't really know what platform i'll get it on it yet, once we've received the system requirements then that'll be the crutch if im going to pre-order it on pc or ps3, but I doubt it would change much from Fallout 3 and I was able to run that on max settings with the higher res textures.

but rpg's will never be more popular than shooter games.

Being a big fan of both the Gears of War series and TES. I have to say not much has been released about the game to the people who are going to be new to the series. Gears 3 pre-order gave you a code to test it out by a beta. As for the Loyal fans to the TES series, I for one have already pre-ordered my copy, and I will know this game will brain bang me to this mental state of pure enjoyment.

I pre-order when I know im getting the game, and I have the money available. More than once a game has come out and I have had to wait a while to get it. Think of it as lay-a-way.

And please dont respond with how little $60 is too you. We are not all on the same boat.

I usually wait a while any ways for the bugs to get fixed. so preording just because It might be sold out for a few weeks is not really advantagoues to me.
