Im surprised Skyrim doesnt have more preorders.

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 6:58 am

As of May 28, Skyrim had just under 67,000 preorders on the 360, in America.

For comparison, Gear of War 3 had over 10 times as many with just under 778,000 preorders, in America.

From may 21 to may 28, Modern Warfare 3 had 67,000 preorders, again in America.

Good, giving companies interest free loans so they can "hold" onto a game for you, that will be available everywhere else regardless of preorder is stupid.

I pre-ordered it on day 1, and I generally get the option to upgrade it to the special edition.

If the CE is worth it, I will just transfer the preorder over.

If they haven't announced a collector's edition by September, them I'll pre-order normal version, but man I'll be pissed if I can't have a collector's edition.

I will 100% buy this game asap, but have yet to pre-order it! I doubt any of those figures mean anything right now...

Well most of the time you only pay the game when it ships or when you pick it up at the store so you're not giving them a loan.

Personnaly I already preordered my copy but maybe I will upgrade to collector's edition when its announced.

You are correct sir!

Well, that and the fact that its been ages since oblivion came out so I'm sure lots of people are also like, "The Elder Scrolls? What are those?"

Yeah, I'm waiting to see CE. If CE's not worth it in my eyes, I'll probably go through Steam.

I do not see the point in pre-ordering a game, especially this early. It is nothing but beneficial to wait as you may change you mind, or there may be different editions of the game. They are not going to run out so why rush?

I cant say im surprised with the numbers, we still have 5 months and 6 days to go. With so much time i doubt many people will pre order it until the release date gets closer... I know i have though

I pretty much only pre-order a game when I'm certain the release date won't be delayed or that the version I want is announce (Collector's Edition). So usually I only pre-order a game a few weeks before the release date.

I know of people who already pre-ordered the Playstation 4, and frankly, I don't understand that kind of mentality. It's very alien to me, and not the kind of thing I would do.

I'll, like many other wait for the Collectors Edition.
And I would also like to see if it comes with any preorder bonuses before I preorder it.

Er, the five dollars you give them to preorder the game is an interest free loan.

I wonder when the CE will be announced?

I'm waiting for the CE. I hope it has a hardcover artbook and cloth map of Tamriel, or just a really detailed one of Skyrim.
