Survivalist Rifle : Fallout: New Vegas

so i just about have all of the new items you can get in the dlc but i can't find the Survivalist's Rifle. on fallout wiki says "the Survivalist's Rifle is found at The Red Gate, which is east of Bighorn Bluff. It is found in the survivalist's duffel bag." ive searched everywhere and still cant find it.

You mean you can't find the duffel bag? It's hidden behind a tree.

you must do so prior to finishing the main quest. if you go back after it not there

I found out about the survivalist weapon after completing the main HH quest. Went back to the mojave, then back to Zion and proceeded normally. The gun was there.
