Survivior Mode Issues

*groan*, just lost another dweller to a deathclaw attack, the problem being that I can't click around all the dwellers quickly enough to refill the bars, either because they're stacked on-top of each other or because when I try and click on one it treats it as a double click and zooms the screen.

Bethesda, PLEASE enable the dwellers to auto apply stimpacks. It's frustrating enough losing a dweller you've spent a week or two training up and leveled up to lvl 18 and then they get wiped out by a single deathclaw attack.

Either that or slow down the deathclaw attacks to give player a chance to heal the dwellers - it can do the same damage, just over a longer period at a slower rate.

...or just don't let dwellers stack on to of each other. Also, if the game engine isn't fast enough for 200 dwellers, there should be a cap. .. even on a speedy note 4 with 200 dwellers the game chugs slowly.

Another request... increase the time to locate the mysterious stranger based on the number of levels with rooms in the vault. With only 4 levels its easy....with 10 levels and sluggish scrolling with 100 dwellers, you either ignore him, or happen to get lucky.

After my survivor mode vault switch back to standard after 2 weeks, I finally deleted it and gave up. I'll possibly come back after more fixes or improvements are in place.

Standard mode isn't worth the time invested since it's easy once you know the game, and survivor mode is a pisser since the vault can just revert back at any point, with no way to fix it.

Okay... and how do I do that when I can't move them around? The game decides where its going to move them during an attack.

I meant Beth should make the fix so they don't stack. That should be pretty easy to fix. I'd think.

Ah, yes I see, that would make sense! It would be easier to make them auto apply Stimpacks... ;)

the only problem I have with this mode is the idiotic speed that disasters spread. A lunchbox gave me ONE "rare" dweller which was level 10 with 1endurance (so barely useful). I noticed that the best strategy early on is just reproduce until you have a medbay, create rooms that are only 2 spaces and NOT upgrade them, have the living quarters only 1 room (and fully upgraded). Then... just be patient. Stock up on stimpacks at the beginning. Once you have roughly 10-15, send out ONE dweller with 2 or ideally 3 Endurance. Do not reproduce, stay at the level of dwellers you have when you unlock the medbay (16 I think?). Be patient, and bring back your one dweller with whatever loot he or she brings back. Its slow, but steady. Equip your dwellers with whatever he finds, and make sure to get early objectives when possible. I was not so lucky, having 4 lunchboxes without any rare weapons, armor, or anything moderately useful save for one Dweller (who frankly was not useful or special).

The biggest problems I can see people get with this game are;

upgrading rooms

sending out too many dwellers at once

procreating constantly

Seriously, you need to take survival mode SLOWLY and adapt to the difficulty. The high resource consumption by dwellers and disasters can easily overwhelm you.

Even in the normal game, a group of deathclaws bring my lv50, 10(+3)Endurance dwellers down to 30-50% health. And those are dwellers trained in E at level 1, and leveled after that. I shudder to think what they would do to a vault of level 18 dwellers. Eat them I suppose
