Suspicious new video on Youtube : V

Let me first say, when I read "Leaked gameplay", I take five minutes out of my day to roll my eyes, then proceed to watch what I know will be a poorly made fan video. This video though looks like no other game out there today:

I think I even see an Argonian in there.

I think this one is real. Bad video quality, but it's clearly very detailed and I did see what appeared to be an Argonian. If it's fake, it's from a game I've never seen before or the best fake ever.

It's so low quality that we can barely make anything out of it. So we don't know if it's fake or not.
I THINK I see an argonian too, but I'm not sure.
Although there is the Skyrim music in the background (but that could easily be faked).

Whatever game it is though, it got godrays in it. And the city looks awesome and big, I'd say.

Still, as this quality is so low, it doesn't really matter if it's real or not.

True CJL78, it's a good fake. But it's just that - fake. Bethesda doesn't let leaks happen. And I don't believe anyone at Bethesda would do this.

Yes, I've seen the video aswell. I'm very sceptical... to say the least. Though that really looks like an argonian, and that's kind of odd.

It certainly looks more plausible than most of these so called 'leaked' videos. It's not very good quality but perhaps this adds to the believability.

EDIT: Just rewatched it and I've firmly reattached my sceptic head. Just doesn't look right to me

The poster says he took it on his cell phone while Bethesda was showing it somewhere. It's totally plausible.

I don't know though. The quality is so bad you cannot really tell.

It sure looks a hell of a lot like Oblivion (well...Skyrim). I guess it could be a mod for Oblivion tho :sad:

We should investigate any other game this could possibly be. Look at the architecture and compare it to other games.

I thought it was looking real up until it showed the first NPC. I see what I believe to be some crazy anime-esque spear thing he's holding. Also take note of the fact that its not in a scabbard or on his back. You see this later too with a guy strolling along with a sword resting on his shoulder. In all official screens people have their weapons sheathed when walking around. So I'm thinking its fake.

Even at that low quality, IMO it hardly resembles the new engine.

Edit: And it looks just too European to be Skyrim.

It's not AC, there's some kind of non human thing moving about at about 0:30. It's strange, it looks like an argonian with the Morrowind walking animation...

0:17... is that a spear???

It doesn't look anything like Oblivion, at all.
That's the only reason why I'm not 100% sure if it's fake or not. Because it's definitely not Oblivion nor is it an OB Mod. It's either:
A ) Skyrim
B ) Something someone actually made for the purpose of looking like Skyrim to cause e-fame/drama
C ) Some other game that we can't figure out what it is yet

Also, Serella makes good points. Those "swords" are too ridiculous IMO, and it doesn't really look anything like the trailer.
I'm still sticking to "fake".

Yep agreed, couple of the most convincing elements of this video that scream 'NOT SKYRIM' to me.

i'd say it falls under the "nessie" theory.. could be real but due to "unfortunate" bad quality we have no idea and have to speculate..

i'd most likely say hoax.. that "argonian seemed to walk like they did in oblivion.. and this hiden phone seams to of been hidden in plain sight as nothing seems to be covering the edges of the view at all, and when it went of to side of screen slightly it seemed like it was done in some dark room "like a nerds bedroom"
although you can get an idea of the detail so it would seem rather elaborate... have to try get someone on dev team to confirm it .. then execute the heretic!

I think you've found the killer. Those sword/spear things do not look TES-appropriate.
