It svcks that I Can't Play Skyrim Anymore

It svcks that I can't play Skyrim anymore, on my Toshiba laptop.

It seems as though the latest update may have caused this? I don't know? I can't get my new character out of Helgen.

By the time my character reaches the dungeon and the Imperial guard starts in with his magicka and I am running towards him the game CTD, every damn time. I don't know if it bad frame rate or it is running out of memory: or, perhaps both?!? My AMD drivers are all up-to-date as well. (And, it has to be just Skyrim because I have no problems playing ME3. But then, I don't have any mods installed in ME3, just Skyrim)

Might have to turn down the graphical sliders a bit.

That video card is not well suited for gaming. It's strictly entry level and it probably exceeds the minimun, but is below the recommended. Having mods will of course put more stress on the system as a whole. Plus laptops because of their compact nature just run hotter. Maybe a cooling pad underneath it while you're playing?

Once you get so far down in the graphics on the PC though, if that is your main concern you might be better off going to a console for the stability (preferbly the 360 as the game was made more that system, the PS3 was given a shoddy port).

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. It's strange that the game was working perfect about three weeks though. (Considering that I have over 2300 hours of play in Skyrim on this computer.) Nevertheless, consoles are not for me. (I don't even like tablets.) I like using mods as they enhance the playability for me. Thanks again for you reply.
