swearing you pathetic N'WAH!

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 3:28 pm

I realy hope that they add lots of made up swearwords to the game. while i dont want every second word to be "qato" or whatever i do think there should be a lot more vulgar language (made up). there should realy be at least 10 vulgarities and the player should use their imagination to decipher the meanings. i want to hear (rarely) random sixual references that make me crack up. i want to have people mutter odd words under their breath. the one thing with this is that bethesda have to get this in the right quantity.

anyone in agreement?

I disagree. It might be funny at first but would get annoying and stupid really quick. Why not just use real words?

Not really swearing or odd words but:

Spit it out or hit the road!
We're watching you... scum!

I want something like that again, haha :)

Because real words offend people? (Doesn't offend me) And morality police don't like it?

Plus I think it'd be a bit immersive as it'd make sense for them to swear in their own language, (I know I swear in my own language) and not the language of the 'universal translator chip' our PC have got operated into their brain.

As long as it makes sense in context and isn't over used.

Don't forget the compliments. One ' Muthsera ' is worth a hundred ' Hero of Kvatch 's.

And then the neutrals, like outlander - people can use it politely (Muthsera, outlander) or as an insult (OUTLANDER SCUM!)

Just couldn't resist reading this because of the "n'wah". This is one of the things on my wish list. Good topic. I want to hear typical Nord words and "right on" insults that have been seriously overthought.

All of you ignorant petaQ's don't know anything about cursing.

Seriously, there needs to be a character in Skyrim who uses "N'Wah". That would be hilarious.

N'WAH will be back, sort of - just slur your NU RAH a bit. It'll be an insult that really knocks your opponent down. :)

So true. And having played Knights of the Nine recently, I have to say that one "Hero of Kvatch" is worth a hundred "Sir Knight"s. God, that was annoying. None of them even bothered to ask me for my name, they just all agreed on "Sir Knight" behind my back... it kinda sounded like they were mocking me.

Maybe the Nords should use 'Langer' want to know what it means you'll have to ask a man from Cork city.

If I remember correctly, by extreme coincidence Cyrodiilic is near identical to English.

Those dunmer curse words are the best! How I miss them! Nostalgia hitting again. Its been such a long time since I've played Morrowind, how tempting it is to load up that disk...

I wouldn't mind some new curse words for Skyrim, but they need to fit our new environment. I can see the nords having some good ones. Or as mentioned before, some dragon curses. How fun!
