The http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/12/sweden-imports-trash_n_1876746.html was something I posted about last year - they addressed the problem by importing trash from other countries. Now http://www.ibtimes.com/swedens-happy-perplexing-problem-four-prisons-closed-due-falling-inmate-population-1466170 because they don't have enough inmates to fill them. So this is what Sweden looks like now - they're running low on trash and prison inmates, leading to extroardinary measures such as shutting down prisons, and importing trash from other countries. What's next - importing criminals from the rest of the world, and sending them back in better shape than they were before they left?

One solution is to start adopting US policies.

LOL! They are improving the world so I say let them do anything they ask. If they can take our criminals and reform them, then let it happen.

But then that wouldn't be very profitable for the US prisons.

I know what you mean. A former Florida govenor's wife used to own the company that provided meals to the state prisons.

Now that I'm here things should be back to normal inna few weeks.

Last i read, Sweden was said to have the highest rate of six crimes out of any European country. That could be down to the feminism problem, though, which widened the definition of the "R" word to include six whilst intoxicated, thus relieving women of responsibility for their own irresponsibility.

The fall of incarcerations doesn't necessarily equate to less people committing crimes, either. However, it could be that crimes that would result in a custodial sentence have fallen, rather than the courts being a soft touch on serious offences.

Either way, this isn't that convincing of Sweden being a utopia in comparison to other struggling developed nations.

Good job on taking out the trash, though.
