Sweet rolls and cakes

If so, please post a recipe.

I have a fun little muffin recipe that can certainly work as a sweet roll. But I'm out of my depth when it comes to cake recipes. I know this is uber-dorky. Please, discuss!

My dad makes cinammon rolls with orange frosting. I should ask him the recipe and make them!

Sweet rolls (muffins of awesome)

Sift together:

2 cups of flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg (I'm going to experiment with cinnamon)

Whisk together

2 large eggs
1 stick of melted butter
2/3 cup of sugar (white or brown, but I prefer brown - packed if it's brown sugar)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup of milk or cream

You can add nuts, berries or chocolate chips to this recipe at the end.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients until dry ingredients are moistened. Don't over mix. Put the batter into greased muffin tins and bake at 400 for approximately 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from a few muffins. Bake longer if you add extra ingredients.

After they have cooled you can butter the tops and then roll them in brown sugar. Or just drizzle with honey.
